KaraS -- Lost on Moya

KaraS wandered lost through the hallways of Moya. When Rae had taken off, and everyone had followed her, Kara had fallen farther and farther behind. Finally, she had turned a corner and not seen anyone.

"Rae! Spyral! Mouse? Where is everybody?"

But no one had answered.

So now she wandered, lost, looking for her friends.

A humming noise had startled her. Rygel in his hover throne had come up behind her.

"Hmmph. Who are you and what are you doing on Moya?" he asked.

"My name is KaraS. I was kidnapped by an ogre, threatened with being diced and steamed, rescued by an absent friend, taken to a magic circle where I ate magic pizza, threatened by hostile ants, enclosed in a glob of paint and transported here. It's been a wierd day."

"I should say so! You should follow me."

"Ok, where are we going?" Kara asked as she followed Rygel down the corridor.

"To the central chamber." Rygel said. "Your story about magic pizza has made me hungry. It's time for lunch."

"Lead on MacDuff."

"I can tell you're a human. You don't make any more sense than Crichton."

Toghether, they headed in search of lunch...

SunAeryn -- ‘How do we get back?

Better yet, do we want to?' Sun was thinking as she took a walk on Moya. 'Man, this is way weird, in a good way though. Sure beats the heck out of any dreams I have.' Sun just kept wandering around the different tiers of Moya, not noticing the DRD following her. She some how made her way to the terrace of Moya. She went in(or would that be out) and looked up at the stars. Struck with the awe of it all, she just stood there with her face turned up staring and smiling(kind of one of those big cheesy grins she gets from time to time). She didn't know that the DRD had followed her....or that it left. She also didn't notice the foot steps that sounded down the hallway or when they entered the terrace. Sun got tired of standing so she decided to lay down and stare at the stars. It was then that she finally noticed the person that had come into the terrace.
"What are you doing?" Aeryn asked looking at Sun, like she had lost her mind.
"Um, *giggle* staring at the stars." Sun answered with a smile. "Didn't you ever do that as a kid? Just lay down on the ground and stare at the stars and imagine what it was like up there?" Sun asked remembering all the times she did.
"No." Aeryn replied
"Oh, well I guess growing up on a ship would kind of make that hard. When I was a kid one of my favorite things to do was lay down in the back yard and stare at the clouds and figure out what shape they had taken." Sun offered
"Why would you do that?" Aeryn asked squatting. Sun wasn't getting up, she was enjoying the view point she had from the floor, the stars just seemed to surround them.
"Well, I have a vivid imagination and that's how I developed it. That and pretending." Sun responded
"Retending?" Aeryn asked
*giggle* "Pretending, not retending." Sun corrected
Aeryn made a move to leave, not liking that she was being laughed at.
"Wait, I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh at you." Sun said sitting up "It just reminded me of my niece when she was little and first learning to talk." Sun added quickly
Aeryn wandered back and sat down.
"Niece? What's that?" Aeryn asked
Sun just looked at Aeryn, not sure how to respond, "The daughter of one of my brothers. Don't you have siblings, brothers or sisters?"
Aeryn didn't answer
Sun wanted to look at the stars somemore so she laid back down.
"You should try this. It's cool." Sun said to Aeryn
Aeryn looked at Sun then the floor, then at the door. Sun smiled knowing that Aeryn was worried that someone from the crew might see her.
"It's ok, I think they are all either in Pilot's chambers drilling the rest of the Scoobies or in the center chamber eating food cubes." Sun offered and scooted over.
Aeryn decided she would try this silly human thing for a little while.
"Some times I just close my eyes and listen." Sun offered after a little bit.
"This is silly." Aeryn said, with a small smile
"Yeah, but it's fun." Sun added
They stayed there just looking and listening for a long time.

Eloise -- Viridian!!

"OH MY GOSH!! WHERE'D SHE GO!"

Eloise at the end of the rope hunched down and dug her feet into the floor. She was definately not gonna let go!

She noticed a post nearby; a support for the roof. Quickly she wrapped the rope around the post so that she faced away from the mural. Then she braced her feet against the bottom for leverage.

"PULL, GUYS, PULL!" she shouts, then adds under her breath, "Don't worry Vi we'll save you."

Kaybe0 -- While Pilot is trying to find a way

to get the Scapers home, and Ragnar, Vi, Beebo, and Eloise are trying on their end, the crew on Moya drops their guard and relaxes around the Scapers, finally agreeing that they wish them no harm, and in fact, seem to be in awe of them. Not quite understanding how the gang seems to know so much about them, they enjoy the adoration they are getting. And even agree to show the group around. As they pass the door where Sun and Aeryn are, Kay peeks in, and seeing the too of them just laying there looking at the sky, Kay tiptoes away, not wishing to interupt. When they come to the kitchen area, they see Rhygel and Kara rummaging for food. With a mischeveous thought, Kay walks up to John, and says
"John, do you have anything to eat here, besides crackers?
I mean, Crackers Don't Matter, but, I was just wondering." The Scapers giggle, and John grins, and said "well, as a matter of fact, we kind of shot up a lot of the crackers, but, not to worry, we do have other things.

Mouse2000 -- Mouse stumbles for the nth time

over her feet as she and most of the group follow John along on the tour. "Would you watch were you're going?" an annoyed Spyral asks her. "Sorry..." she mumbles, but the enormity of this particular adventure has just hit her. Not only is she interacting with her favorite TV show characters (who are awfully real in this context) but all she has to do is look out of the terrrace, and she's IN SPACE. OUTER SPACE. AWAY FROM EARTH.

Her legs fail her again, and she sits down, hard. OUTER SPACE WITH REAL LIVE ALIENS. She was more than happy to expand her human brain with imagining that this could be possible on a friday night or during a party with friends after a couple drinks, but to actually have it happen is just a little too much for this Mouse, and she decides to just stay where she is for the moment. The group continues, awestruck themselves, but still mobile, and suddenly John stops when he notices they are missing one.

He backtracks patiently to where Mouse is sitting with a glazed look on her face, crouches down, and shakes her gently. "Believe me, I know EXACTLY what you're feeling. It'll make sense in a little bit."

Mouse stares at him, at once acknowledging that he is both incredibly kind to actually care about what she's feeling and at the same time, incredibly good looking. Much better looking than on TV. Not one to be startstruck, she is embarrassed by the response his proximity is demanding from her. She blushes, unable to control that particular Human Reaction, and John tips her head up with one finger and smiles. "A girl who blushes. I never thought I'd see that again."

Mouse manages to find her voice, and says quietly, "Do you think someone can come back for me later? I need a little time to work some things out."

"Not a problem. I'm sure we'll be back this way in a little while." he says, then resumes the tour with the Scapers.

Mouse sits up against Moya's inner wall and feels the wall move. "Too much..." she replies shaking her head and trying to absorb all this at once.

SunAeryn -- While all are wandering,

Sun and Aeryn are still lying on the floor of the terrace looking at the stars, when suddenly a bright light and a dark figure appear above the terrace.

"Am I seeing things?" Aeryn asks sitting up.
"Well if you are, then so am I. I wonder what it is?" Sun added.
They were both sitting up by now. Trying to figure out what it was.

"That almost looks like a rope the figure is hanging from." Sun commented, trying to move closer to the figure.
"Pilot, are you getting any strange readings near the terrace?" Aeryn questioned Pilot.
"Yes, Officer Sun, I am. It seems to be a life form of some kind." Pilot responded.
Sun noticed the pink of the clothing
"Na....it couldn't be...could it? But how?" Sun wondered out loud. She was pacing around staring at the figure just dangling in the sky.
"Oh, my goodness, IT IS! Viridian!" Sun gasped in wonder. "How the heck did she do that?"

Viridian -- Viridian figured she had seconds to live

Before she suffocated and the vacuum of space caused her body to burst like an overripe tomato.

Fortunately she was prepared. Frantically, she reached up into the back collar of her smock and pulled a small orange cord with a orange ring attached. Instantly, a bright yellow aura covered all of her and she heard the hiss of oxygen being pumped from the canister that hung from her back on the inside of her smock. Listen kids, it's all fine and well to be fashionably decked out in hot pink for just about any occasion, but if you have to work around harzardous materials that are being sprayed, well then the smart artist doesn't leave home without "Dr. Milligan's All Purpose Force Field For Extremely Dangerous Situations".

Granted, Viridian NEVER imagined she be pulling the ripcord in outer space! Taking a deep breath, she saw for the first time that she was practically on top of a space ship; she could see two figures waving at her below. Something about the ship seemed familar, but in the sheer astonishment of the moment she couldn't place it. She looked back at where the door had been. Although she was still attached to the rope, she couldn't feel anyone pulling and the door had disappeared. The ship was her only hope.

In the midst of the creative moment, artists can get toasty; Viridian was no exception. She reached in to a pocket and pull out her trusty portable fan. In the nothingness of space, with no air to cause resistance, even a battery operated fan can propell one artist quite nicely. She cut the rope with her mini mat knife, turned the fan on, pointed herself toward the ship and hoped she could find the door really, REALLY soon.

(A note, kids-- the bit about popping like an overripe tomato is something I remember reading in an SF story when I was little.)

RagnarRB -- Rats!!!!....lost another one

Ragnar, Beebo, and Eloise were caught by suprise by the sudden slackness in the rope. The squirrls barely had time to clear the zone before the three, suddenly without resistance tumbled into a heap

The severed end of the rope lay upon the floor...

This is never good in any cartoon I ever saw.

Eloise -- Oh my Goodness, Oh my Goodness

"VI!!" Eloise shouts.

"Now what are we gonna' do?!" Eloise is strating to lose her confidence. "Our poor, dear Scapers are stuck in a 2D world! They won't be here to see the new eps and they'll miss out on all the parties!"

Ragnar and Beebo grab ahold of Eloise and shake her. "Stop that!" says Beebo. "The Scapers are fine. I'm sure they're having a great time!"

"Yeah" adds Ragnar. "They know how to take care of themselves, after all they ARE Scapers!"

"I guess you're right." says Eloise starting to calm down. "So how are we gonna get them out?"

"Well I guess we'll have to go with plan B." says Beebo. "Rag, what's plan B?"

"What, don't you know?" asks Rag.

"No, I thought YOU did!" replies Beebo. "Great, no plan B."

Just then Eloise notices the squirrels acting funny. She glances over to the mural. "Guys, what EXACTLY did Vi paint?" she asks.

"Some grass, some trees. Not much." says Beebo. "Why?"

"Because it's doing something really weird." Eloise has not taken her eyes off the painted pictures.

As Beebo and Ragnar turn, their eyes widen and their jaws drop. The colors on the wall were swirling and reforming into something new.

"Didn't Vi already seal that with polyurathane?" asks Beebo.

"Guess she missed a spot." says Ragnar not moving.

Raven-Kat -- Reliving old times with Pilot

after the others have gone off on their tour, Rae finds herself really enjoying herself. Conversations with Pilot, of course, consist mostly of comfortable silences, and this one is no exception.

"So..." Pilot begins slowly after soem time. "When do you plan on telling them that you used to be a Peace-Keeper?"

Rae cringes, nearly falling off Pilot's console in the process. "Well, now. I'm really not sure they need to KNOW that."

"I see." Pilot says, then falls silent again.

"Will you tell?"

"No. I tend to agree with your assessment of the situation."

Rae nods. More silence. "So, I hear you're naturally bonded now?"

"Yes." Silence.

"Good." Rae nods. More silence. "Do you think I could get in touch with my old C.O.? I missed him."

"Not advisable. The crew has reason to hate Crais."

"So I'm given to understand." Rae shrugs. "Just as well, I suppose, since Aeryn isn't the only one on the ship who's technically AWOL."

Pilot nods. More silence. Then: "It is... wonderful to have you back with us, Rae. Moya agrees." Pilot accompanies this gesture with an almost-hug.

"Well, it's wonderful to BE back." Rae mutters, hugggin him back. "It's like coming home..."

Silence...

(***Sorry, guys. Just indulging my creativity a little. Besides, everybody else has a back-story. It's about time I did. PS, it's good to be back :)***)

Spyral -- As the tour continues

Spyral, admires the trim fit of Aeryns PK suit...er!....that is the wonderful intellect she possesses in explaining the more technical aspects of Moyas propulsion units.

;-)

"And just how much thrust is she capable of?" the angel asks sweetly, almost nose to nose with the Sebacion beauty.

"Well...um...that is.." Aeryn stumbles, trying to politely step back from the fawning angel and give herself enough room to at least draw a breath.

Suddenly there is a sharp jolt and accompanying crash that sends the group sprawling to the floor and into the walls of Moyas pasageway.

"WHAT THE FRELL?!?" Aeryn shouts.

Yet another blast rocked Moyas corridors.

"PILOT! WHAT THE HELL'S GOIN' ON?!" Chricton shouts.

"It appears we are under attack from......"

BLAM!!!!

"...a group of small craft. They are not responding to attempts at communication. They are continuing....."

BLAM! WHOMP!

"........to fire!" Pilot finished as Moya rocked yet again.

"WE'RE COMING BACK" Aeryn shouted in answer to Pilot as the group bolted to Pilots chambers.

Raven-Kat -- “Ooof”

Rae cries as the impact from the first blast throws her off of the console and onto the floor (or, more accurately, the level below the floor). "Owwie." she adds as an after-thought. She grabs a passing DRD and demands a shot for the pain she's in before clambering to her feet again.

Instincitvely, she comes close to kicking the DRD as it shoots her in the ankel. Instead, she hauls herself up the ladder and clambers backk towards the console. "Pilot?" she demands. "Status!"

"The defense shield can-not hold for much longer." Pilot announces.

"Drenn!" Rae shouts. "Frelling drenn!" She then lets loose with a string of Sebacian explatives that the translator microbes don't even TRY to process.

"Please remain calm." Zhann suggests, breezing into the chamber.

Rae glares at her before regaining her composure and muttering a quick apology. "Right. Uh, sorry. Do we have weapons?"

"Several pulse-rifles and small arms." Zhann informs her.

"I need FRAG CANNONS!" Rae groans. "What I wouldn't give for a sonic ascendancy-"

"Rae!" The others come striding into the chamber. "We're under attack."

Rae stares at Spyral through her black eye and frowns. "Really? You SURE about that?"

Aeryn smirks at the expression on the angel's face. "You have tactical training?"

"But of course, my dear Officer Sun." Rae smiles. "Now all we need is weaponry."

"Leviathins have no weaponry." D'Argo pointed out, frowning.

"I'm sorry. Is today national 'state the obvious day' or something?" Rae snaps. "Crikey!" Sighing, "We need weapons."

"Obviously." Chianna interjects with a smirk.

"Pilot, get me Talyn." Rae says firmly.

KaraS -- In the central chamber

Rygel and KaraS were just finishing their snack when there was a loud BOOM and a sharp jolt that sent them both crashing to the floor.

"PILOT!" Rygel howled. "WHAT is going ON!"

"We seem to be under attack." Pilot's voice announced.

"Really??? We never would have guessed!" Rygel said.

"Um, who's attacking us?" KaraS asked.

"Unknown." Pilot said. "Report to Command."

Kara followed Rygel down Moya's heaving corridors. When they reached Command, they found they were alone.

"Where IS everybody?" Rygel demanded.

"They have all showed up at my den for some reason." Pilot said. "We need emergency manuvering NOW. You will have to do it."

"Me??" Rygel said. "I can't manuver the ship. The controls are too large."

"Then that alien will have to do it." Pilot said, looking at KaraS from his holographic transmitter.

"Me?" Kara gulped.

"Yes, you!" Rygel said.

"Just take it easy. I'll talk you through it." Pilot said. "Officer Sun is on her way down. But untill she arrives, it's up to you."

"Ok." Kara said, grabbing the controls. "I'll give it a try."

Meanwhile...

Small, manuverable fighter ships were landing on Moya's hull. The ships, biological entities not unlike Moya herself, grabbed on with their claws and started looking for an enterance. When they found an enterance, their pilots began to board...

Mouse2000 -- Viridian headed for Moya’s hangar bay

and was relieved to see a small opening for her to pilot her way through. Just as she went through, the opening disappeared. She landed in Moya's hanger bay, and was imediately surrounded by DRD's. "Where is everyone?" she wondered aloud. The DRD's all lined up and headed towards the main deck. Viridian quickly followed.

Eloise -- It looks like flies?

Beebo Ragnar and Eloise watch as tiny ships form out of the swirling paint and begin attacking Moya.

"Do ya suppose that's where the Scapers are?" ask Rag.

"I guess so," replies Beebo. "The mural only seems to be active in particular spots. Like where the Scapers might be."

"So what should we do?" asks Eloise. "Break out the fly swatters?" Ragnar laughs and Eloise gives him a high five.

"They DO look like flies." says Ragnar. "I think one of them really IS a fly."

"Its kind of like watching an episode of Farscape." adds Eloise. "Only this time the Scapers get to be in on the action! I wish I could see their faces."

Beebo and Ragnar have looks on their faces like they wish they were there.

"I wish I could be there on Moya." says Beebo.
(What'd I tell ya!)

All three gaze up at the tiny ships buzzing around on the wall. Each imagines what it must be like to really be there with Pilot and Aeryn and John. *Sigh*

Raven-Kat -- “Pilot, get me Talyn!”

Rae half-screams.

"I AM trying..."

Rae climbs once more onto the console and stares him in the eyes. Such lovely BROWN eyes... Shaking herself back to attention, she whispers: "Don't TRY just get them. Crais WILL help us..."

"Are you out of your frelling mind?" Crichton demands, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her off the console.

Rae casually breaks free of his grip and twists his arm behind his back. "Language, language, soldier..." she whispers in his ear before letting him go. "Pilot, here is my message for Crais: 'Bialar Crais, formerly of the Peacekeepers, this is Colonel Rivon Katlyn, Peacekeeper special ops, Alpha Command...'" As Rae pauses to consider the rest of the message, the others stare at her in awe.

"You're a peacekeeper?" Mouse asks quietly.

Rae shrugs. "Just try to remember, I was off in a meadow picking flowers when all the really nasty drenn went down."

"How long has there been a PK presence on Earth?" Spyral asks.

"Too long."

"The rest of your message, Colonel." Pilot asks.

"Right. 'Bialar-' Crap, I never thought I'd have to say THIS again. 'Bialar Crais, I need your help. And this time I'm willing to pay for it.' Send it, Pilot. Add my ID code and a voice-print confirmation."

"Sending."

"No!" Chaina shrieked. "She'll turn us in!"

"To Crais?" Rae laughed in the Nebari's face. "Although you may have difficulty understanding this, my dear, I have neither the will nor the incentive to turn ANY of you in to your respective pursuers."

"I don't believe you."

"Okay, let me translate it back in Sebacian for you. It does not BENEFIT me to turn you in right now."

"He won't answer." Aeryn said.

"He will." Rae countered. "Believe you me. He WILL answer. Now aren't you needed in Command?"

As Aeryn took off for command, Pilot announced quietly: "I have Crais..."

Viridian -- Viridian paused to straighten herself

while the DRDs whirled around her feet. "Hang on," she told the busy little critters, "It's not everyday I get tossed into outer space." She combed her hair (if not 'bed head', perhaps the way her hair looked could be called 'space head'). She smoothed out her smock, pulled up her socks, and fished through her many pockets to see what useful things might be there. To her delight, she found one of those protein energy bars and her 35mm camera, loaded with film. Happily, she bit into the bar. One shouldn't have to cope with alien spacehsips on an empty stomach. "Okay kids," she said to the DRDs, "Take me to your leader."

(Oh GOLLY! I ALWAYS wanted to say that line!!!!)

Raven-Kat -- “Well, well.....”

Crais's voice says over Moya's speakers. "What an interesting reversal."

Rae groans. "Man should have been a literary critic. Reversals and symetry and vengance, oh my."

"I heard that."

"You were meant to." Rae says. "Of course, I derive no end of pleasure from the fact that you don't have clue one what I was talking about."

"You have always been a strange creature, Colonel."

"Thanks." Rae smiles. "Pilot, can I have visual?"

"Of course." A hologram of Crais appears in the center of the chamber.

"Ah, there he is!" Rae smiles and appraoches the hologram. "Okay, here's the deal, Bailar. In case you haven't noticed, we're under attack."

"Yes, I noticed. It is of little concern to me."

"What about Talyn? How does he feel about the fact that dear old mum is in trouble? Talyn?"

"Talyn!" Aeryn adds. "We need your help. We're in trouble."

"Keep talking, Aeryn." Rae says. As Aeryn cajoles Talyn, Rae continues with Crais. "I can pay." she repeats.

"I doubt it. My prices have gone up, I'm afraid. Inflation, you know."

"Right..." Rae smiles. "Look, let's... talk. Face to face. Been a long time."

"Not interested."

"I have the worm-hole technology."

"You can't give it to the PeaceKeppers!" John shouts.

"Watch me. The tech dies with me, Bialar. Pilot, close channel."

"Are you insane?" John shouts.

"Nope. Not at all." Rae grins. "Been away so long you've forgotten how to bluff?"

"Bluff?" John gapes at her.

"You don't think I actually know enough math to even begin to understand how those things work? Let alone CREATE one? Dude! I'm a psychiatric tech. overt ops. I don't DO physics! I do head-games."

"As we can atest." Mouse whispers.

Kaybe0 -- I wish we could go home now

Thought Kay to herself. It was kinda cool being on Moya, but, this is getting dangerous. Ragnar where are you guys?
Beebo? I wonder if they will ever be able to get us out. Or will we be here forever? Shaking her head, she becomes alert once more, to help the crew and her friends.

Raven-Kat -- “Cheer up, Kay!”

Rae says happily. Leaning close, she whispers. "It's TV, remember? And we're the main characters!" Laughing, she skips over to Pilots console. "Evasive maneuvers, please, Pilot."

Kaybe0 -- Smiling

at Rae's happiness, Kay decides that it isn't so bad to be here on Moya. After all, what could really happen? Didn't the crew ALWAYS get out of scrapes in the series? And didn't they always come out of their adventures unscathed? Grinning at Rae, and giving her a thumbs up, she watches to see what will happen next.

Eloise -- Hey Beebo!  Ragnar?

Got any ideas? I'm at a loss.
I think maybe we are going to
need help from a higher power.

Anyone got Superman's phone number?

Sailor Moon?

How about The Great Gonzo?

;oP

Raven-Kat -- “That’s better, Kay!”

Rae says, nodding. She gestures for Kay to join her by Pilot's console. "Can you do something for me? Something big?"

"I can TRY..."

Rae nods. "That's all I can ask. Look, we need the rest of the gang up here, and a little fire-power wouldn't hurt either. Now, Sixth used to have this transportation device. The trick is getting those down below to remember it..."

"Hezmana, I'D forgotten about it." Sixth says. "Mexico, right?"

"That's the one. Look, we need them to activate it, right, Sixth?"

"Yeah." Sixth nods. "Not real likely at this point, though."

"I need you to rig up a transmitter powerful enough to patch into the mansion intercomn system."

"I'm on it." Sixth says.

"No, you're on tactical with me. I need a cool head here. Kay, I want you to organize the others on this communication device. We don't have a lot of time, and it only has to work once. Think you can do it?"

"Yeah!" Kay nods.

"Great! Move out!" Rae grabs Sixth and hurries her to a back-up navigation station as Kay begins organizing the others. "Sixth, Officer Sun, Sunny, we may have to defend against a landing party, so be ready. In the mean-time, who's the best pilot?"

Mouse2000 -- Inching away from Rae,

trying not to be obvious, Mouse puts some distance between her and the newly revealed Colonel. Mouse looked quizically at her friend and wondered what to make of all this. Sure, Rae had always been of a military mindset, but Mouse thought she was just playing out or that she really believed in being prepared. But now, with the former Peacekeeper's secret revealed, Mouse sees that it makes a strange sort of sense.

As Rae looks around at the assembled group and starts suggesting people to landing-defense groups and asking for pilots, Mouse backs away and takes off down one of Moya's cavenous passageways. First off, she's not a pilot, or a warrior. She is pretty good with a rifle from target shooting, but this is different. Second, although this is Rae's environment, it's not Mouses'. And although she thought she might be able to contribute some scientific knowledge to the group, now did NOT seem to be the right time.

Mouse asks a passing DRD for a large banner and a really big magic marker. The DRD beeps a few times, and scurries away. If the group is ever going to get off this ship, they are going to have to remind Ragnar of Sixth's transmitter/receiver box in the New Basement. If she could make a big enough sign, maybe she could hold it up to one of Moya's large portholes and with any luck, the gang on the outside of the mural could see it.

Raven-Kat -- Back in her element

Rae is having the time of her life and doesn't even notice when Mouse goes off. By the time she does notice, she assumes Mouse has gone off with the group trying to rig up a communications device.

Which is a shame, because Rae could use a little moral support right now.

"Kay, how's it going?"

"Not good." Kay says. "Pilot?"

"There seems to be some kind of force-field set up in a perimter around the ship. It is impeeding external communications. Also, maneuverability is being effected."

"Drenn!" Rae curses. "Where's Crais?"

"He is being prevented from reaching us..."

"You mean he's TRYING to?" Aeryn demands. "Why?"

Rae whispers to Aeryn in Sebecian that the translator microbes seem unwilling to cope with.

"Oh..." Aeryn nods shakily and drops the subject. "Right, then. What next?"

"Get your team to the docking bay." Rae says. "And... wait."

"I HATE waiting!" D'Argo grumbbles.

"Won't be long now, brave Luxan." Rae assures him. As the group of warriors moves out, Rae grabs Aeryn's arm. "Officer Sun?"

"Yeah?"

"It may become neccessary to bail."

"Bail?" Aeryn shakes her head. "I don't-"

"Leave. Abandon ship."

"Never!" Aeryn protests. "Pilot is my friend. I will not leave him."

"No, but the others may have to."

"Pilot is defensless..."

"WE will stay, but we may have to evacuate the others. Put everything in readiness. Just in case..."

KaraS -- Meanwhile, in the central chamber...

KaraS is still manually steering Moya, trying to evade enemy fire.

*BOOM*

The ship lurched to the right.

*CRACK*

The ship lurched to the left.

"Piiloot!" Kara wailed. "I thought that Officer Sun was coming up here to steer. I'm not doing well here."

"She has been delayed." Pilot said. "You're doing fine."

"What the frell do you mean, fine?" Rygel snarled. "We're lumbering along like a kerrist stuck in a tar pit."

"Would YOU like to do this??" Kara asked him.

"I am a Dominar. I do not steer."

"Fine. Find something else useful to do then."

"Everybody keep calm." Pilot said.

*BOOM*

Lurch

"Aeryn Sun is on her way up. Now."

SunAeryn -- Sun heads for the docking chamber

with the others to prepare for battle(if needed), as Aeryn heads to the central chamber to take over the manuvering for KaraS.
"Sun? Can you handle whatever comes through the doors?" Aeryn asks
Sun just smiles and says "I can handle Big."
Aeryn gets a look of Dejavu on her face
"I can handle it, having three older brothers prepared me for just about everything life has to throw at me. Go help Kara before she winds up hurting Rygel." Sun offered.
Aeryn nodded and took off to central command.
Sun headed down to the docking chamber.
"Pilot, how many DRDs can you spare us?" She asked looking around the chamber, devising a plan of attack.
"Sun? What are you thinking?" Rae asked
"I'm thinking of the best way to defend ourselves and Moya, so NO one has to 'bail'. I'm with Aeryn, I'm not leaving Moya or Pilot." Sun replied.
"Sun, I'm sending all that I can spare your way." Pilot responded
"Sun, are you sure you know what you're doing?" Rae asked
"Do you want the truth or should I lie?" Sun said with a wicked gleem in her eye.
"Well, just don't get anyone hurt or killed." Rae told Sun
"Not in the cards, my friend, You just take care of getting Captian "Cranky" here with Talyn. K? Let me take care of kicking a@@!" Sun told Rae.
"Pilot, the DRDs are here. Thank you." Sun said, getting the DRDs in position.

Sun huddled the others with her(sorry, I didn't remember who was with me) and told them the plan.
"Understand?" Sun asked.
She had already told Aeryn what the plan was, she just needed to make sure that it wouldn't come to that.

Viridian -- Meanwhile...

As Viridian was picking herself off the floor from the last time the ship lurched, a little drd appeared and beeped at her escorts. All the drds gathered around Viridian and herded her down another hallway. It wasn't long until she understood why.

"MOUSIE!" she cried, "Where are we? Are the others here? What the frell is happening?"

Mouse looked at her as if she was daft. (which she is) "Viridian! Get a clue! We're on Moya!"

Viridian's eyes got very big. "Moy...ya?" she stammered.

Mouse rolled her eyes. "Honey, where did you think you were?"

"With Pilot, Zhaan, Aeryn....?"

"And John and D'Argo, Chiana and Rygel!" Mouse grabbed Vi's arm. "Viridian, do you have any magic markers on you? We don't have much time!"

Viridian unbuttoned her smock to reveal inside pockets. "What size and what color would you like?" Mouse selected a black marker in the largest size. The drds had brought a large sheet of something resembling paper. Mouse knelt down on the floor and began to write out a message in very large letters. Viridian looked around her. Moya! A living ship! she tentatively touched the wall beside her. *This wall is alive* she thought *Whoa...*. She looked down at Mouse. "Mousie, y'know no one loves art more than me, but is this really the best time to be doing that?"

"I'm trying to get a message to Ragnar! If we put this up at one of the windows, maybe he will be able to see it."

Viridian helped Mouse up and took hold of end of the large banner. "Oh! What about the Terrace? That's what I must have seen when I was outside!"

Mouse stared at her. "You were OUTSIDE??? Why aren't you dead????"

Viridian smiled at her. "I have my tricks."

The drds scurried off, leaving the two friends to hurry toward the Terrace. "Y'know, Mousie," Viridian said, "What got me into all this trouble in the first place was that I painted a small painting that somehow was tuned into Spyral's mural. My painting kept showing all of you guys. If we are lucky, maybe Ragnar, Beebo or Eloise will remember it's there and maybe they will be able to see us that way."

"Maybe."

"What a day we are having."

"You can say that again!"

Raven-Kat -- “Pilot!”

"What is the electrical frequency of the force-field?" Rae demands. "Crais needs it, and he says Talyn is-"

"It does not have an electical frequency." Pilot interupts. "It is solid and substantial."

"SOLID?" Rae sighs. "Then I need the chemical structure." Rae changes the comm frequency. "Listen to your ship next time, Bialar."

"The wall IS solid then?"

"Yeah!"

"How is your ship holding up?"

"Heavy damage, Bialar. I'm not sure how long we have. You MUST find a way through."

"Talyn is not equipped-"

"Pilot and I are working on it! In the mean-time, try to find a way around. Or a hole..."

"If this wall had a hole, I would be over there!"

"Do NOT raise your voice to me!" Rae shrieks. "If you do again, I will transmit your location to every Peacekeeper ship in the sector!"

A muffled laugh. "It's good to see that you haven't changed."

"Rae, I have it." Pilot announces. The chemical make-up of the substance appears on Rae's screen.

"It can't be..." Rae mutters. "Mouse!"

"Busy, now, Rae!" Mouse announces over the communicator.

"This will take exactly ten microts, Mouse." Rae says. "PLEASE..."

"Fine, what?"

"I need you to look at a chemical formula. Where are you?"

"Uh, aft, somewhere. I think..."

"Pilot?"

"Deck six, aft. Near the terrace."

"Great. Patch the formula through to the nearest view-screen." Rae waits. "Do you see it, Mouse. Is it familiar?"

"It's some kind of polymer." Mouse said slowly. "i'm not entirely..."

"Plastic?"

"Hey, I know this!" Vi says.

"Vi? When'd you get here?" Rae asks. "No, never mind. What is this stuff?"

"Sealant. For pictures."

"Sealant? Are you frelling me?" Rae laughs. "What disolves it?"

"You want to disolve it?" Mouse demands. "Vi says it's what's keeping the picture from deteriorating farther."

"It's also keeping our backup from reaching us." Rae says. "Vi?"

"It CAN be disolved, yeah."

"How?"

"Solvent. I don't actually know the chemical formula."

"Okay. Thanks, guys. Stay safe!" Rae switches the communiator frequency again. "Zhann?"

"Yes?"

"Big favor. Can you find a nice strong solvent and transmit the formula to Crais?"

"Is that wise?"

Rae shakes her head emphatically. "Of course it is, Zhann." she lies.

"Okay, I'm on it."

"Goddess bless you." Rae says. She dials up Talyn. "Crais, Zhann is transmitting you a formula for something that will disolve the wall. As we speak, I am programing a message beacon that will be released if the ship is destroyed. It has your exact location and a signed confession of our crimes. Capishe?"

"Ca-WHAT?"

"Do you understand?"

"Quite clearly."

"Thought you might, love. See you soon."

"Yeah..." Crais grumbles.

"Oh, and Bialar?"

"YES?"

"I've really missed you." Rae turns off the communicator with a sigh and goes to check on Pilot.

RagnarRB -- Pacing and rubbing his chin

Ragnar moved back and forth across a small section of the treehouse far from the muraled wall. Elois and Beebo paced as well, only in the opposite direction so that they passed each other in the middle.

"I'm at a loss here ladies." He murmered.

"What about...no we tried that..." Beebo started.

"How about..." Eloise began to venture then seemed to reconsider.

"I don't want to simply join them. " Ragnar continued, "For starters we don't know exactly where in the mural they are and if we go in there then there will be noone to get them out."

"I'm not sure it would make that big of a difference big guy." Beebo commented a tad bit of frustration entering her voice. " We're not exactly making a lot of progress here."

"Yeah Rag, we're at a loss. If this were startrek we'd simply beam them away and they'd be back..."

The three stopped their stride. The looked at each other. Could it be possible?

Ragnar smiled....IQ's fridge!

Mouse2000 -- Mouse clicks on her com

and says, "Rae! You there?"

Rae answers with a hurried, "Yes, here!"

Mouse says, "Almost anything can be a solvent, even water! Do they have anything like nail-polish remover on board?"

At that minute, Vi reaches intto her smock and pulls out a small can of turpentine. "Bingo!" she cries.

Mouse grabs a passing DRD, puts the turpentine in it's carrying chamber, and tells it to go to Zhaan right away. "Rae, there's a DRD coming to Zhaan with some turpentine in it. Make sure she gets it and then she can replicate more, or at least she'll know what kind of solvent we need."

Mouse gives Vi a big hug, and they hurry to the big windows of the terrace and hang the banner that reads, simply, "6th's Black box!" Mouse hopes Ragnar will remember where it is, and if he dosn't he can always ask 6th!

As she and Vi start back to command, Mouse starts to feel better about the teamwork issues that she had been struggling with, and decides to jump back into the fray with both feet. After all, she lives for adventure!

RagnarRB -- What’s whith that fly?

"you're not think what i think you are thinking are you?" Eloise asked the intrepid viking, who was now grinning for his own enjoyment.

"I haven't had a good thought for weeks, I'm over do I tell you."

Both Eloise and Beebo looked doubtful.

"Well IQ does demensional jumps and such in the fridge doesn't he?"

Beebo shrugged in her agreement. "Yeah but none of us know how sucessful he's been. Beside we haven't seen much of him lately. I even tried to e-mail him but his e-mail isn't open.I suppose if he opens it or mails us we can get in touch."

Ragnar nodded. It was a start.

"Could we snurch the fridge if we cann't find him?" Good thought Eloise.

"Maybe, I don't know how it works though. I'm just thinking that if this creation of Spyrals is interdemensional then the fridge might work. Unless I've forgotten or overlooked something."

No one was really sure how to answer that one.

"Hey guys what's with that fly?" The other two turned to look at what Beebo had already noticed.

On the mural with moya a small speck seemed to be darting around the area that Viridian had sealed. The first question that crossed Ragnar's mind was why wasn't it being sucked in.

IQ120 -- Ragnar squeezed into the fridge

"Wow!" said Ragnar once inside. The fridge was somehow larger on the inside than on the outside. The multitude of buttons was somewhat shocking. "Gee, I wonder what this button does." he said pushing a big round button. Suddenly, the treehouse was filled with the sound of "Bohemian Rapsidy"(sp?) and the fridge with Ragnar inside dissapeared.

************************************************************ Meanwhile...
************************************************************
On the bridge of Talyn Crais manuvered(sp?) to try and find away through the goup when suddenly a fridge appear with a big viking inside!

(I feel that I should point out that I am one of the people in the portrait.{see reply #12}. I absent mindedly forgot this was up here and so have not made any contributions to the story, since one month ago tomorrow. I have spent the last two days reading, trying to catch up.)

Raven-Kat -- “This isn’t hard, Crais.”

Rae repeats for the forth as she once more transmits Zhann's directions for making the solvent.

"I am no tech..." Crais repeats.

"You don't HAVE to be." Rae sighs. "Damn, Bialar, just... listen. You take the chemicals, you mix them together. You let Talyn take care of the rest."

"How do I know-" Crais trails off.

"What now?" Rae demands. "Frell... Bialar, can you hear me?"

"Talyn has just given me an intruder alert."

"You can deal with it later. WE need your IMMEDIATE attention."

"What the--" Crais turns around and finds himself face to face with a large, angry viking.

"Crais!" Ragnar gasps. "WHERE ARE THEY!"

"Ragnar?" Rae demands. "Crikey! Is that YOU?"

"Rae? What the-"

"It's okay, guys." Rae assures them, hoping that's true. "Bailar, meet Ragnar. Rag, you know of Crais. I'd DEEPLY appreciate it if my two favorite guys could refrain from killing each other for a little while."

"Colonel!" Aeryn's voice interupts. "We need you!"

"On my way!" Rae says. "We'll talk later, guys." she adds as she hurries towards the docking bay.

KaraS -- Still in

KaraS felt as though she had been piloting Moya manually for days! Her back ached and her arms burned from the stress of manuvering the big heavy "joystick" back and forth. The ship still lurched from side to side as it took hits from the raiders although it might not have been as apparent in other portions of the ship.

Finally, Aeryn Sun came pelting into Command.

"It's about time!" Rygel snapped at her.

"I'll take the controls now." she said, ignoring Rygel completely.

KaraS relinquished the controls with a sigh of relief.

But as Aeryn took command (and the lurching stopped) something else happened. Strange

KaraS -- Still in Command cont

But as Aeryn took command (and the lurching stopped) something else happened. Strange insectlike aliens began pouring through the door.

"Surrender now." one of the aliens buzzed.

Aeryn Sun, with both hands on the "wheel" could do little but cooperate.

"You will not get away with this." she said as the aliens bound her hands behind her. "My shipmates will kill you if you don't leave now."

"ZZZzzzzz." the aliens chuckled.

"We have captured you. We will capture them as well." the alien squad leader (identified by the rainbow of insignia on his jacket) said. "If they resist, we will kill them. Then we will kill you. If they do not resist us, we will capture them. Then our Great Captain will decide what to do with all of you."

The aliens bundled up Aeryn Sun, KaraS and Rygel and took them off somewhere. In the corner, a DRD had been watching.

"Colonel Rae?" Pilot said. "I think we have a problem..."
