I got rid of the pop up ad window. The only bad thing is the homepad banner at the top of the page, but its not too bad.
Im going to start password protecting my MP3 and PUB directories at lan parties. The only way you can get the password is to e-mail and ask. Yes, this is just a cheap way to get me more e-mail, but it might work :)

Welcome to the new NLC site design. A few of the pages were just ported directly off the old site to save time, and i hope to redo them as soon as i can, but look around, a lot of it is new.

Well, i finally got that UT demo patch, but i havent had time to install it yet. The Upgrade doesnt support OpenGL though, so all you people with TNT2s who wanted to get it from me at the lan party, looks like youll have to download it yourself.

The new version of the Unreal Tournament demo is out today. Ill say something about it tommorow if i can ever get it downloaded. Id have it by now if i could ever connect to any server to download it. Look for this game to be played a lot at the lan party on Saturday.
Ive got a lot of homework to do tonight, but i may just not do it and finish up the new site design. If i do, i'll upload it tommorow around 6:30pm

Looks like that Diamond and S3 merger finally went through. Dont be too upset though, S3 has some really nice people and it looks like they're putting out the most well-balanced next generation 3d accelerator. Hey, maybe with Diamond's help, S3's driver support wont suck any more.
Yes, theres going to be a lan party Oct. 2 at Mad Skillz' house. Dont e-mail me asking for an invitation. E-mail Mad Skillz at [email protected]. Im not doing the inviting this time, so e-mail me only if you have any problems. Oh, and Im going to ask Mad Skillz to actually include usefull information in future e-mails. All the first few said was there was going to be a lan party and gave the date. As of yet, i dont know the times, so i guess we just show up any time we want.
The D3D and OpenGL version of Unreal Tournament should be out Monday, however it wont be compatible with the already released 3dfx version. For all the 3dfx users, you can either fully download the new version or get a patch.
I plan on redoing the site. With my current schedule, i get very little time to work on it, so dont expect it any time soon.

Damn, 8 days since the last update. Sorry bout that, but if anyone else wants to write anything, go ahead.
The unreal tournament demo was out yesterday. I finally got to play it about an hour ago, and i must say its right up there with Quake3. Apparantly with all the "its only going to be fore 3dfx users" hype, they forgot to mention it came with a software renderer and Creative Lab's glide wrapper thingy works great for TNT2 users, so it really doesnt matter if you have a 3dfx card or not.
There might be a lan party in about 2 weeks. Im not sure yet, so dont start with the e-mails (like that will actually happen).

Well, its the first update in a few days. Sorry about not updating, but i havent had time or anything to say.
Im still to lazy to take down the gamering thing. It'll just have to stay there not working for a while
Hopefully someone will have a lan party soon. I plan on getting a new hub soon and i need to see if it works.

Im starting work on a page devoted to BelgiumCow and her stories. They're pretty funny and i hope to have it done soon. Send in any pictures of cows if you have them.

I was going to put something about how awesome Anna is, but i cant think of anything. So, in conlcusion, Anna is awesome.
Well, FF8 was supposed to be out today, but the stores are getting it tommorow. I guess thats good since i get out of school early, but i still have to work.

Im thinking of buying a Voodoo3 3500TV. I might wait for the Voodoo4 or the GeForce 256 to go down in price after they switch to .18 microns (they're shipping at around $300 with .22 microns). You can e-mail me with suggestions if you want.

I got a few complaints from Corey about Kurt's recent updates. Basically, Corey says he is going to kill Kurt next lan party. He wanted me to clear up something about the party Kurt mentioned. Its in no way definatly happening. Its just something Corey might do the friday after his birthday. Theres no real plans for it yet.
Well, today was the computershow. I checked Shreve-net's web site and found out about the tournament they were having about 2 hours before it started. I only came in 4th, though. At least I lost to some of the best. Valtrain didnt even place.

The Voodoo5 is getting a lot of hype from 3dfx. Have we already forgotten the Voodoo4 before its even out yet?
Well, they said the next Q3A release would be a demo, but it looks like theres going to be another test. In mid-September, theres going to be a new Q3test with bots! I know there was a hack to get bots in 1.5, but these can actually switch weapons.
I changed a bunch of stuff for Jeff. Just about all the XdaXashman stuff was changed to NeoAsher.
I got an e-mail from John McGee from the Hive. They got a beta of Ages of Empire 2 and are going to be playing all weekend. Ive got a map if you want it, but their e-mail adress is [email protected]

Hey, everybody, another day another update. Uh, not much to say... want to see a party soon! We need a good one, with tournements, and blackjack and hookers, on second thought... screw that. NLC needs girls! IF you own a set of female genetalia, and you've had it all your life, and your hot, and your interested in joining (forget that last part :) ) then come to a party!
...But we do need a party! Host one if you can, and tell us and we'll be able to help you with it. Get food, a solid guest list, and more food. And get games and mods too. And lots of power for our computers. And, maybe we'll invite ourselves over again if it weas good. j/k (we'd invite ourselves over again anyways)

Goodday, fellow no-lifers. Today, I must inform you of something that, like most Unreal mods, will not come to fruiation. The news? Corey will have a party in October. I don't know how this came about, but I can't wait to see this. Well, Corey, if you don't have a party, you won't be in the NLC anymore. In fact, we'll flex our NLC muscle and have you exterminated by one of our death squads*. In fact, I'll lay odds Corey will not only not have the party, but have an excuse for not having the party**.
Of course, thats only my opinion, but Corey, you HAVE missed some of our parties. On the same topic, we need DEDICATED members. (That's like... anti-Corey's) So, send me or Azteroth an e-mail or someone if you want to join. (make sure you send it to someone in the NLC though or else we won't know you want to join, and don't send it to anyone but me or Chris or else we won't hear about it either)

Today, marks the first of a great many days-when the NLC takes the first step towards being the greatest LAN group in the world. Starting on this, the greatest of days in the history of NLC, all members must have a communications port implanted into their ears(besides our founding fathers and members as of.... uh... last week! We will then be able to... control... I mean... democraticly run the NLC and all its members with our computers... who am I kidding? I mean, we all know that our COMPUTERS are the ones dominating US, with or without a communication port implant.
Nothing really's happening with the games now, but AHL beta 2 is out, and Unreal4Ever beta 5 should be coming out pretty soon (tommorow). Thats about all for the games...
...and Chris, if you EVER give my name out again to your wierd friends....I don't know WHAT I'll do!

Well, today was the first day of school. It looks like its going to be an easy year. So, more lan parties for us.
There's no real news today, but im just putting this up so you cant say i missed this update.
Sadly, it doesnt look like theres going to be an update tommorow. Try to contain your tears. I got a lot of stuff to do, so unless another person gets off his ass and writes something, then it doesnt look like its getting done.

Well, after waking up from my post lan party sleeping extravaganza and watching the first hour and 9 min. of the matrix i got from Neo at the party, i thought i'd write an update. This party wasnt as bad as the last few. I know i complained about too much half-life mods before, but suprisingly, i wished we had played more this time. We had a quake3 DE tournament which I won. We were about to have a Half-life tournament, but we didnt. Valtrain would have easily won it anyway. I'd have to say this was probly one of our better parties.
Ill try to post some pictures as soon as i get them. I didnt take many, but i hope to have the few i did take up within the week.
Im thinking of taking off the Cliff Yablonski link. Cliff is my idol, but its still getting kind of old.

Today we see the return of the pika inside logo. Its a bit smaller than the normal size so it would fit in the bar witout having to scroll.

We're implementing a new rule. If you're in the NLC and say your going to a party then back out more than once, then we're kicking you out. You can probly get back in later if the majority of people want you in.
Looks like Hercules is out of buisness. Too bad, the made a great card.

Here is a sample unedited and unspellchecked article that will appear in the stuff page after a few revisions. Its a little was away, so dont hold your breath for it. Ive started a policy of not spell checking. The way i see it is: Hitler spell checked, and i dont want to be like Hitler.

I was finishing the strategy page yesterday when i realized i was putting too much information in it. There wont be a strategy page unless someone else writes it due to me not wanting more people to be better than me.
Looks like S3 might not be able to buy Diamond. Diamond Multimedia shareholders are sueing to stop S3 from buying Diamond by basically saying the company was worth more than than S3 was going to pay.

I added a News History page in case you miss an update. I know this defeats the original purpose of only having one update at a time, but i found that the front page looks better without so much clutter.
