Welcome to my page of Soviet Marshal and Fleet Admiral Uniforms. It is a collection of pictures on the subject I found in various places of the Internet! Let's start with some intro and then some specifics. Soviet Military Ranking: The Soviet military has mainly five branches: Army, Air Force, Navy, Airborne and Missile Forces. Officers of these braches have one to three-star generals (admiral for Navy). Higher up the rank is Marshal and Chief Marshal. For the Navy, due to its small number, there is only Fleet Admiral and Fleet Admiral of the USSR. The topmost rank of the Soviet military is the Marshal of the USSR, who theoretically is "above all". However, there are usually 3 such Marshal of the USSR at any given time, because the Chief of Staff, Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff of the Warsaw Pact forces are all automatically ranked Marshal of USSR.
