ISDN 1000PA
Protocol Analyzer
For Basic Rate
Interface ISDN Services

The ISDN 1000PA offers display modes for any user, whether they are a highly
experienced engineer or completely new to ISDN and attempting to learn it from the ground
up. The Call Status Log feature lets you monitor call progress indications in plain
English. The Line Monitor permits observation of physical line indications for the active
interfaces. The Protocol Trace feature lets you see detailed information in each packet.
The ISDN 1000PA is easy to install and can be set up in a few minutes. It connects in
series with the U interface delivered by your local telephone company. It monitors the
2B1Q signal and decodes physical indications, data link protocol, call control messages,
and information elements defined by international and network-specific requirements. The
ISDN 1000PA allows in-depth filtering to be selected which excludes unwanted information
from being displayed in the Trace Buffer Window.
Connect the ISDN 1000PA via the serial interface to any computer, and send remote commands
to enable filters or download ASCII trace information in real time. Use the ISDN 1000PA to
troubleshoot Terminating Equipment (TE) installations, Network Termination (NT-1)
performance, Central Office line provisioning, and protocol operations for new product
development.
The ISDN 1000PA has been developed to make analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting of
ISDN Basic Rate Interface communications easier. Telecom managers, development engineers,
network administrators, and service technicians who may be looking for a way to monitor
and analyze ISDN-BRI communications now have an ISDN analysis tool which, when used with
the Protocol Analyzer for Windows software, allows them to view, search, save, log, and
print information that is both useful and easy to understand.
