ISDN 2000AFP Family of
Emulator/Protocol Analyzers
For Basic Rate
Interface ISDN Services
The Protocol Analyzer for Windows software works with the 2000AFP both when it's
configured as a Central Office Emulator or as a Protocol Analyzer. This versatility of the
ISDN 2000AFP provides you a convenient and powerful platform on which ISDN-BRI products
can be developed, diagnosed, or demonstrated. It can be configured for stand-alone
operation or computer controlled operation. The adaptability of the 2000AFP permits it's
utilization as a mobile demonstration and troubleshooting aid or a dedicated benchtop
development and diagnostic tool.
The ISDN 2000AFP Emulator and Protocol Analyzer supplies the telephony services you'd
expect from an ISDN PBX or Central Office switch. Appropriate in-band tones are applied to
voice calls. Dialing treatments and network timing procedures are performed. Time Slot
Interchange technology routes Speech and Circuit Mode Data (CMD) connections on either B
Channel, while the D Channel Packet Handling Function (PHF) simulates X.25 Packet Mode
Data (PMD) calls. Predefined Service Profile ID's (SPID) auto-initialize Directory Numbers
and assign Service Profiles that permit unlimited call types, multiple call appearances,
caller id, and other supplementary services.
The ISDN 2000AFP is an ISDN server in a box. It puts ISDN-BRI end-to-end operation,
multiple Call Control protocols, telephony switch services, and analysis tools on your
desktop or lab bench - up close and personal. In addition, the Protocol Analyzer mode of
operation provides the capability to develop for, monitor, and diagnose actual U
interfaces as delivered by your telephone company.
The ISDN 2000AFP Emulator and Protocol Analyzer gives you the freedom, versatility, and
power to capitalize on the growing interest in ISDN-BRI communications.
