In short, after giving us details of the information that you want to display, and some background information about your company, we will be able to handle the whole process of web site creation for you.

Full design and creation of the site

This would mean us visiting (or phoning) you for an informal discussion about what sort of web site you need. For example, do you want to display a full catalogue of goods/services, or merely a presentation of what goods/services you provide and a means of contacting you for more details?

We would then go away and create the site, using handcrafted HTML and graphics. We would also include numerous free features if suitable, such as a counter so that you can tell how many people have visited your site, a personal chatroom, or a message board so that people can post messages. Once complete, we would present you with print outs, or the actual computer files, so that you can confirm that the web site is to your liking and is ready to be uploaded to the Internet.

Signing up for space on the Internet

This involves getting allowance for some space on a server attached to the Internet. There are 3 main options:

1) If you already have an Internet Service Provider (ISP) account, with some web space, we can upload the site to that.

2) Alternatively, we will prepare the groundwork to set up an account with an ISP for you and upload the site their. This normally costs about £10 per month (depending on the ISP) to maintain the account.

3) The cheapest option is that we sign you up for a free account that many companies provide on the Internet. The catch is that you may be forced to display an advertising banner in a window alongside the site.

If you choose the third option, you can be guaranteed that once the web site has been set up, there are no more hidden costs to pay and the site will remain, promoting your business indefinitely. 

Upload of the site to the Internet

This involves us going online and sending the completed web site to the account that has been set up. The site can then immediately be viewed by anyone, all over the world.

We will also give you a backup copy of all the files necessary for maintaining the web site in order that you or anyone else can alter them in the future. 

Promotion of the site

In order to get visitors to your site; a certain amount of carefully targeted promotion is needed at the outset, which we will perform for you. This includes:

• Registration of the site to all major search engines (AltaVista, Yahoo, Lycos, etc.)
• Advertising on Usenet – there may well be several newsgroups (notice boards) dedicated to a similar service as your company, adverts can then be placed there directing people to your web site.
• Link Exchange – by displaying a small advertising banner on your site, others automatically display your advertising banner on their sites. 

Maintenance 

If you wish, we can also maintain the site, and update it later on with added information and continued promotion of your business on the World Wide Web.

Significant maintenance: £20, Minor alterations: £10.
