PARIS - HIGH VIEWS

Well, Tour Eiffel, of course. The J-828 means that there were 828 days left till the year 2000. What day was piture taken on?

This and other pictures below were taken from the top of the Tower. You can see the Arc de Triomphe in the middle of the picture... On the other pictures you can see other view from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

This is the view at the Jardins et Palais du Luxembourg.

This and the following 3 photos were made from the 5th floor of the Pompidou Center. To tell you the truth I didn't find the 4 lower floors of the Center particularly useful, while there is a good view from the 5th floor... My museum pass was not valid for the 3rd floor exhibition of Fernan Leget (spelling??), so I had to enjoy his paitings for free at the exhibition bookstore where most of them were reproduced on the post cards... Also the Center opens at a very weird time (around noon!) so if you are planning to START your day with it, go to bed late the previous day. :) Also from the photos below you can see that Paris is gray from the top, as opposed to Prague (see Prague High Views ...

Eiffel Tower lies somewhere there...

...or somewhere here...

And this is the Basilique du Sacr Coeur of which no documental evidence exists except for this and one more lousy picture...

...Yeah, this one.

This is Ile de la Cite, the very heart of Paris. Notre Dame, La Sainte Chapelle and La Conciergerie are located there, just to name a few.

Go to the start of the tour or go home.
