Each week I try to spend some time
alone listening to God. I am a husband, father, adult Sunday
school teacher, marketing manager and part-time Webmaster. I don't have the time or money
to travel
to some remote place. For me solitude is more of a state of mind than a physical place. My
favorite
place to find solitude is in my car. When I need to be alone with God I turn off the radio
and quietly
listen. A second place I find solitude is working on my hobby, model railroading,
especially at night
when the house is quiet. I find myself alone with God.

The conflict I've seen is the result of two opposing
groups of people--those who want the church to grow and those who want it to stay the
same. As the church grows, many of those who are unhappy with the resulting changes
leave, only to find another church and inevitably the same problems. Sometimes those
unhappy people stay and criticize as the church adapts to growth.
