The HP Model 2600fx offers industry-leading performance: 25 msec average seek time. 3.4 MB/sec read, 1.7 MB/sec write.  Read/write buffering increases system performance.

Data stored on optical disks by the Model 2600fx is safe and secure: dust-free drive design prevents media contamination.  Durable and removable media has a 100 year archival life, warranted for the life of the media.
