Product Information
Ultimate convenience, desktop profile

The MX335 is very compact (about 7.7" X 17.25" X 21.5") and today’s standard 640MB MO media can store the equivalent of a three-drawer filing cabinet making this solution ideal for applications such as desktop publishing, prepress storage, document imaging, movie and sound sampling, CAD/CAM as well as backup and archive. The 3.5" library brings high capacity and high durability MO technology to the desktop.

Features and Benefits:
640s driven and OW technology

Inside the MX335 you’ll find the new 640s multifunction drive, which offers capacities of up to 640MB, performs at speeds equivalent to a 20x CD-ROM, and provides data transfer rates above 3MB per second. For truly demanding applications, you can use the latest Over-Write (OW) technology, which further increases performance by 33 percent over previous generation MO drives.

Because the 640s is ISO-compliant, past investments in earlier capacity disks such as the 230MB and 128MB optical disks are protected. The 640s is compatible with PC, Macintosh and UNIX systems via a standard SCSI cable. The MX335 is available with either one or two 640s optical drives.

Large capacity with 3.5" MO disks

Four different media capacities including the newest generation of 640MB and 540MB disks, as well as the previous 230MB and 128MB versions are simultaneously available, enabling users to tailor their solution according to their unique environment and application demands.

As with all MO media, the 3.5" disks are virtually impervious to the damaging effects of X-rays, moisture, dust and stray magnetic fields. Data can be safely archived for over 30 years, and because of their ruggedness, these disks make the perfect medium for transporting even the most vital information. Unlike it’s CD-R counterpart, 3.5" MO also offers the advantage of limitless rewrites.
