The T4-2600 is a 5.25" half-height read/write magneto-optical drive. It is a multipurpose peripheral satifying the needs of data storage in today's market. Complementing a system's hard disk drive, the T4-2600 forms a storage hierarchy allowing gigabytes of data to be on-line with direct access speeds. The T4-2600 outperforms tape in performance, and reliability. The T4-2600 read/write optical drive accepts ISO standard media which insures interchangeable media at an economical price.
 
The T4-2600 is an ideal solution for network storage and backup, document imaging, medical imaging, CAD, digital/audio editing, or other applications requiring large capacity, high performance, removable storage. The T4-2600 combines the speed of a hard drive with the removability of tape and the reliability of optical.
 
With the introduction of the T4-2600, Maxoptix once again leads the way in supplying high performance, low cost, industry standard read/write optical storage. The T4-2600 provides up to 2.6GB of storage with a maximum throughput of over 4.5MB/sec. It is available in both internal and external configurations.
