Product Information
The industry's most flexible
CD-ROM jukebox solution
Introducing, the third generation of the NSM Jukebox Family. Compact, fast and flexible, the NSM Satellite Combines proven design techniques with totally new features and capabilities. Its unique modular design provides storage capacity for 60-135 CDs, and drive configurations from one to five. Satellite delivers quality, reliability and speed by using the robotics system proven in thousands of NSM Mercury jukeboxes worldwide. Innovative features of the Mercury series including no-touch tray technology, system controlled mail-slot, operator panel and user diagnostics have also been incorporated into the Satellite design.
Two totally new concepts in CD jukebox design: "Application Flexibility" and "Off-Line Data Management"
The modular design of Satellite uses a standard PC form factor for each of the primary components of the jukebox: Packs, drives and mail-slot. Each shares the same dimensions as a 5 1/4 inch half height internal device. The Satellite system contains ten "bays" for installing these components, five in front and five in the rear.
Packs, drives and the mail-slot are interchangeable, allowing customized
configurations of the jukebox As a result, disk storage capacity, the number
of drives and disk to drive ratios can be optimized to match the requirements
of an individual application For example, applications which do not require
a mail slot can easily substitute an additional pack for added storage
capacity.
