The SDT-5000/BM and SDT-S5000/M are the ideal solution for data backup and recovery for the single server in a departmental local area network. Both are Sony's most affordable DDS-2 (8 GB) DAT Drives moving data at 366KB/sec. They have an 8 GB capacity, are fully compatible with DDS-1 and DDS-2 cartridges and support Cheyenne, Dantz, Legato, Seagate and other backup software.

They have also earned an MTBF rating of 200,000 power-on hours and employ Sony's patented Super Head Cleaner technology for proven reliability and ease of
maintenance.
