High-Tech #T70S991
The SDT-S7000/M and SDT-7000/BM are the ideal solutions for data backup
and recovery in larger local area networks. The 7000 series DDS-2 DAT Drive
sets the pace. 50% faster than any other DDS-2 DAT Drive, the 7000 series
DAT drive moves data at 1.5 MB/sec via a fast SCSI-2 interface. It has
an 8 GB capacity, is fully compatible with DDS-1 and DDS-2 cartridges and
supports Cheyenne, Dantz, Legato, Seagate and other backup software.
The 7000 series has also earned an MTBF rating of 200,000 power-on hours
and employs Sony's patented Super Head Cleaner technology for proven
reliability and ease of maintenance.
Features
-
8 GB data storage capacity (with hardware data compression) to handle larger
LAN systems. Excellent price/performance model.
-
Typically 50% faster than other DDS-2 drives based on published specifications.
Allows for increased productivity at the network administrator's level.
-
Read and write capability - can back up 1 GB of information in 11 minutes*
thereby increasing workers' productivity, saving time and money for the
organization.
-
Incorporates Sony's patented Super Head Cleaner technology and read- after-write
verification to enhance data integrity and drive reliability.
-
Roller guide tape path for gentle tape handling extends the life of the
tape and reduces cost of ownership.
* Rates reflect hardware data compression
(2:1) and may vary depending upon the system configuration.
