SPARTAlx is the high-performance entry-level system in NeTpower's SPARTA
family of Pentium Pro Windows NT-based servers. The SPARTAlx server is
a cost-effective high availability system ideally suited for your web,
enterprise, digital media, and MCAD applications. Whether used as the primary
server for mid-sized organizations or as a departmental workgroup file/print,
database, or Internet server, SPARTAlx provides the scalabilty, performance
and reliability required for your business critical applications.
Maximum Performance and Expandability
With one or two 200MHz Pentium Pro processors each with 512KB of cache,
and up to one gigabyte of memory, the SPARTAlx server has the capacity
for high volume transaction processing and heavy client workloads in a
compact, cost effective package. The standard system provides 10/100Mb
per second Ethernet connectivity and Ultra Wide SCSI controllers and disk,
which transfer data at 40MB per second. This is the kind of I/O bandwidth
required to quickly service large numbers of demanding users simultaneously
accessing a server. And with up to 40GB of internal storage, you are unlikely
to outgrow this system.
High Availability and Reliability for Business-Critical Applications
The SPARTAlx server delivers the highest levels of reliability and
redundancy while providing robust yet easy to use system management capabilities.
The SPARTAlx server includes hot-swappable disks, the ability to mirror
the system disk and recover from system disk failures, redundant power
and cooling, error correcting memory, remote server management features,
and integrated hardware and software RAID for system reliability. In addition,
real time multi-system clustering and failover protection is available
to provide near continuous system availability.
NeTcare—Industry Leading Service and Support
Each SPARTAlx server comes with Microsoft's Windows NT Server 4.0 operating
system pre-installed and configured. To ensure reliability, every system
is put through rigorous testing for five days and certification before
shipment. This saves hours of installation and configuration time. All
NeTpower SPARTAlx servers are delivered with ninety days free Windows NT
operating system support and a three year on-site, next business day hardware
warranty. NeTpower has a support team of dedicated professionals that can
help you assess the scope of your project, recommend the best system solution,
and help with installation. NeTpower also offers extended support options
providing on-site hardware support and Windows NT expertise.
