My Matric Dance

My Matric group at The Glen High School in Pretoria had a crappy Matric Dance. Where all the other high school's had their dance's at upmarket venue's, The Glen decided to have their's at the Pretoria City Hall (as usual). Right in the middle of the slum of the universe.

The inside of the hall was too big. I didn't notice any of the decorations, and the music SUCKED! Don't get me wrong - they were playing nice music, but the acual sound just reverberated off the ceiling so all you could hear was noise. And the floor! - now thats another story. It felt as though we were going to fall through it for goodness sake.

In short - it was an experience we would rather erase from our memories. Except for a few good things. Who cares how bad a Matric Dance is when you have the most beautiful woman at your side (and that goes for my friends as well).
