Born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1945 and graduated from Tennessee Preparatory School in 1964. After a few years of bondage in the military (including a year in Vietnam) I first settled in Anniston, Alabama. There I worked in the printing and newspaper business. After 9 years I decided to change professions and go into retail. I started my retail career with Big K Discount Stores which was bought out in 1981 by Wal-mart. we traveled all over the country with the retail chains, working in 12 town my first 9 1/2 years. settling in Athens, Alabama in 1987. I retired from Wal-Mart in 1996 after 20 years to spend more time with my family. My hobbies are working with computers and being with my children. |
