May 21, 1974: Ru was born on May 21, 1974 in Canada at 3 a.m. Her father named her "Fairuza", meaning turquoise in Arabic (spelled 'Firuze' in Turkish), for the color of her eyes.

1982: Fairuza earned the Royal Academy of Ballet Award for her Grade 2 Ballet exam which she passed with Honours at the Royal Academy of Dancing. After which, she then enrolled in the Romona Beauchamp Modeling Agency. She auditioned for and was casted as the leading role in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."

1983: Fairuza and her mother moved to England.

1984: Fairuza starred in "Zaragon" (aka "Discovery"), a Showscan method film, for the World's Fair Expo to be held later in 1986.

1984-1985: Filmed "Return To Oz."

1985: Fairuza co-starred in "Deceptions", a TV movie.

1985: "Return To Oz" had an international release and she visited London and Tokyo for openings for approximately one to two years.

1986: "Return To Oz" was out on video before Fairuza's birthday.

1986: Fairuza co-starred in "The Worst Witch".

1986: Fairuza sang a solo at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the United Nation's Year Of The Child.

1986: Fairuza joined Bush Davies Performing Arts School in the UK just after Easter break for a 2 1/2 year term where her workouts kept her busy throughout the day. Fairuza had originally planned to attend the Arts Education School, but after meeting six other girls attending Bush Davies, including some of her future co-stars in "The Worst Witch", applied there instead.

1987: Fairuza co-starred in "Poor Little Rich Girl : The Barbara Hutton Story", a TV movie.

1988: Fairuza left Bush Davies in July, went to France to film "Valmont" and then moved back to Canada.

1989: "Valmont" was released.

1989: Fairuza co-starred in "The Outside Chance Of Maximilian Glick" along with her mother (who played her mother in the movie).

1989: She then moved back to the United States.

1991: Fairuza co-starred in "Deadly Intentions, Again", a TV movie.

1992: Fairuza co-starred in "Shame", another TV movie which got her a Best Actress nod from the Cable Ace Awards

1992: Fairuza co-starred in "Gas Food Lodging," (also along with her mother) for which she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress.

1992: Fairuza co-starred in "Murder In The Heartland", a TV movie.

1994: Fairuza co-starred in "Tollbooth" and "Imaginary Crimes."

1994: Fairuza made a cameo in a ZZ Top video "Breakaway" as a female vampire.

*Fairuza was a special guest at the 1994 Florida Film Festival.*

1995: Fairuza co-starred in "Shadow Of A Doubt," a TV movie.

1995: Fairuza made an appearance in "Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead."

August 1, 1995: Fairuza purchases the nation's oldest occult shop, Panpipes Magickal Marketplace.

1996: Fairuza did a voice only role in "What Is It?".

1996: Fairuza co-starred in "The Craft," and "The Island Of Dr. Moreau."

1997: Fairuza appears in "The Maker."

1997: Fairuza made another cameo appearance in a music video with Soul Defense Network for the song "Funky Ajoya."

1998: Fairuza co-stars in "American History X" and "American Perfekt".

****(rumour alert!) There is a rumour that she is slated to star in the movie adaption of "The Sandman" comics. Although she is slated to do so, the film has not yet been slated to begin nor has it been picked up by a studio.****

January 1998: Fairuza began filming of "The Waterboy."

September 1998: Fairuza attended the "Salute to Film Noir" at Hollywood's El Rey Theatre.

October 25, 1998: Fairuza appears in the Los Angeles Time Magazine in a fashion pictorial.

****(rumour alert!) It has been erroneously reported that Fairuza started filming "Great Sex". This is not correct. It has not been assigned and the package is incomplete.****

November 1, 1998: Fairuza was interviewed by the Los Angeles Times.

November 4, 1998: Fairuza appeared on Comedy Central's "Canned Ham The Waterboy."

November 5, 1998: Fairuza appeared on MTV's Total Request.

November 1998: Fairuza's "American History X" and "The Waterboy." are released.

January 19, 1999: Fairuza begins a theatrical role in the play "Killer Joe" in New York City.

March 1999: Fairuza left "Killer Joe".

April 1999: Fairuza starts filming a Cameron Crowe film for Dreamworks that is still untitled at this time. The film stars Fairuza (of course), Anna Packland, Francis McDormand, Noah Taylor, and Billy Curdup.

January 2001: The film has been released, the title is Almost Famous....which is indeed true for Ru, who doesn't appear in the film has as much as she should!!
