Want more free space?
    First things first, don't install a drive compressor!  First thing about drive compressors, they will slow down your computer drastically, at least 10% or more.     Another bad thing about them is that...
ex: Say you have a 20.1mb file on your main drive (c:), and you need to get rid of it.  Well, guess what, you loose about 11.9mb when you get rid of the file.     That's not all.
ex: Say you install MS's disk compressor, it will give you a 16k cluster size instead of the original 8k cluster size.  That is bad, because if a file is 10k, it will take up a total of 16k and you then loose space.

    Do you have enough ram?  Do you want it to go faster?
    Well, you don't always have to get more ram, but what you can do is put the fallowing in your "CONFIG.SYS" file:

[COMMON]
Buffers=20
Files=70
Dos=high,umb
DeviceHigh=C:\\himem.sys
DeviceHigh=C:\\emm386.exe /noems

    ...and the fallowing in your "AUTOEXEC.BAT" file:
LH

    ALL of the above will increase conventional memory, which will then increase your programs speed.

"It would give much, but it sure does give enough!"
    Do your programs say that there isn't enough "EMS" Memory?
    Make a boot disk.  Then put the fallowing in:

[COMMON]
Buffers=20
Files=70
Dos=high,umb
DeviceHigh=C:\\himem.sys
DeviceHigh=C:\\emm386.exe Auto

    ...this will make EMS memory avalible to all programs, and will cycle through EMS & XMS memory.

Go to Dos w/ Windows.
Back to home.
