Kishore Thukral, 43, is a writer, mountain trekker and photographer. He has written several musicals in Hindi, performed by cerebrally challenged children and young adults.

Thukral is also the author of a novel, "The Chronicler's Daughter", published in 2002, and is presently awaiting the publication of his second book, " Spiti - through Legend and Lore". The book is a travelogue focusing on hitherto undocumented legends and folktales of Spiti, a secluded valley in the Indian Himalayas bordering Tibet. The book also contains exquisite photographs in support of every legend.
During his Himalayan travels and research, especially in remote Spiti, Thukral has built up a collection of thousands of slides on a wide range of subjects -
