New York June 2 1867 Dear Parents I have been very negligent again about writing as I have no other reasonable excuse I trust you will pardon me on that. I am well and hope this will find you all in the enjoyment of the same good health. I have been to Poughkepsie since I wrote you last friends there all well. Oh! Mother how I wish you could see Frances grave it seems to me it is the most beautiful spot I ever saw. It lies beneath a willow on the Banks of the Hudson. I suppose you are expecting me on there soon. I shall come soon after I get my money from Washington how soon that will be can't tell. Tell the girls that I will send them some samples of silk very soon. Give my love to all enquireing friends. I remain as ever you son with love Lumen Baldwin No 264 Browne St NY |
