First thing i did was to upgrade my Palm V memory to 8MB
I did this through a guy called Jason Ng. He did a fabulous job and there was absolutely no way that I could tell the difference between my Palm V and the any new Palm V that had never been opened....well done Jason!!
My Cracked IIIe
I bought my very first Palm IIIe back in October....within about two weeks, I clumsily cracked the screen by dropping it. 3COM charged about $160 for a new screen and it seemed pointless for me to repair it and get back the same old Palm IIIe....well....so what did I do? After reading a posting in SPUG about Palm Vs going at $390 at the SAP conference...well .... I managed to get one from there....don't ask how, I just managed to at that price...!!
Woo Hoo, what a lucky break!!!

Modem Link to a Palm V from any normal modem
You can see my first trials. No soldering here....merely some paper clips connected from holes 2 - 3 etc. Amazingly, it worked...so off I went to Sim Lim to create the final version of the Modem Link!!!
Now, I use a really cheap modem to link my Palm V to the world when I'm away from home!!
Amazing.....!!
