Crazy For You taps to perfection

A new sound will be heard coming from our auditorium tonight. The sound will be Neshaminy’s 38 annual musical, Crazy For You.

"This year is going to be one of the biggest dancing shows Neshaminy has ever put on,” senior Jennifer Mosley commented.

This show features music by the talented brothers, George and Ira Gershwin, and tap dancing choreographed by Stephen Casey, who choreographed last year’s musical, Guys and Dolls.
It was Casey’s suggestion that Roy Nelson,

Neshaminy’s choir director and director of the musical, take the dancing one step higher from last year’s production.

Casey felt that Crazy For You was the show that could achieve that goal. "Mr. Casey said it was a natural to go on,” Nelson replied.

Crazy For You is about a “wannabe” dancer/banker from New York who falls in love with a tomboyish cowgirl from Dead Rock, Nevada.

It stars Adam Fry and Zak Uzupis as the lovesick dancer, Bobby Child, along with Deven Miller and Jamie Quenzer as Polly Baker, the object of Bobby’s affection.
Last year’s “Sewer dance” is nothing compared to the ongoing tap dancing that goes on in this show.

Neshaminy’s stage crew has been hard at work since September preparing for the musical. Stage crew has been staying for long hours after school, and also comes back at night to work.

Keith Henninger, president of stage crew has had nothing but good things to say about it, though, “This has been one of the only plays that has gone really smooth.”

Crazy For You runs from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17, with a matinee on Saturday afternoon. Tickets are $5 and will be sold out quickly. This one of a kind production will prove to be a memorable experience for the cast and audience.
