| Swimmers end season with big waves |
The girls swim teams regular season came to end on Jan. 30.
The team, made up of experienced seniors, as well as juniors, sophomores,
and freshmen came together well in and out of the pool this season.
We have come together as a team and as friends. I love these
girls and Ill never forget this season, sophomore Stephanie
Andreozzi said. The girls finished with a 3-9 record.
A lot of our girls have qualified for districts and are very
excited to compete and make Neshaminy proud, sophomore Danielle
Feather said. The girls that have qualified for districts are senior
Dawn McCann, Andreozzi, freshmen Arianne Rayner and Chrissy Macmillan.
These girls will be representing Neshaminy in the 4x400 relay and
various individual events.
The practices were hard sometimes but getting better every meet
helped with our confidence, Rayner said.
The support and encouragement that was given from the coaches and
teammates on the sidelines helped them to build confidence and friendships
within the team.
Pam Brockwell, Megan Rodden, Alexa Siciliano and McCann will be leaving
this year to head off to college.
They all look back on the time they spent swimming for Neshaminy with
fond memories. The younger swimmers are looking forward to being more
involved at the meets next year. |
