 Tools Used

I though that i would include this page to highlight the tools that  ripgames uses to design its games, all of these tools are exellent and are better than each other at different things , they all are used to create different types of games

DIV Games Studio

Well where to start, lets just say that it has one of the easiest languages to learn, but it cant do 3d BUT i think it was not designed to do, it is the undisputed king of 2d sprite programming... 2d in this dayn age i hear you cry..... yes 2d i reply... some games that were 2d or isometric ( a nice way of pretending to be 3d !) ... lemmenings......worms...c&c (comand and conquer)

DarkBasic

Basic...... the beginners programming language....DarkBasic is very powerful, it uses directx so commercial quality games are possible with effort... BUT its basic.... damm that language.... micorsoft called it Visual Basic or vb.... it is a annoying language that is for sure but it is simple and i like it . Dark Basic can do 3d and is very good at it, a fine product let down in the 2d department gratelly but is very powerful in 3D

C++ (using directx sdk and opengl)

Well well the head moncho of computer programming, unchallanged in power but as unchallanged in people crying about it :), if you master opengl and directx your life will be forever changed in the games design....you will have so much power you will cry with ....geekness :).. that is if you manage to download the hefty 128mb Directx sdk
