Omega sites To the best of my knowledge everything you find on these
pages is free of copyright, unless otherwise noted. If you find something
that is the property of someone that doesn't wish it to be published, please

and I'll be happy remove it if the copyright holder is unwilling to share

Who
is CyberQue?
CyberQUE
is not a person. However, the webmaster is D. Richard White, 9/ZY/68
(for you younger brothers that means I crossed the sands in September of
1968 through the Second District Zeta Psi Chapter, Brooklyn New York.

What
is CyberQue?
In
the beginning CyberQUE was originally designed
to provide a basic prototype for chapter websites. As CyberQUE developed
it was redesigned to provide a template for Omega chapters which do not
have a website.
A primary goal of CyberQue was to put together a web site using only freeware
and shareware programs so that what was done could be duplicated by any
Brother who wanted a web site. This continues to be a major goal of CyberQue.
Thus while CyberQue may lack the bell and whistles of some professional
produced sites, CyberQue continues to be the one web site which anyone
can put together.
Since then Cyber has under gone another transformation. Besides providing
the template for personal and chapter web sites, CyberQue has and is being
redesigned so that Brothers can link to the individual pages/features of
CyberQue. When the proper link is used the linked page will appear as though
it was created by and is a part of the referring web site. Visitors from
web sites other than CyberQue are returned back to the referring web site.
By linking to common pages Brothers no longer have to duplicate the efforts
of others, and at the same time Brothers who have opted into the system
no longer have to worry about keeping those pages up to date since others
have taken that responsibility upon themselves. A good example of this
is the CyberQue road trips - all that is required upon the Brotherhood
is that any Brother who knows of an unlisted web site needs only to email
the web master and the rolls are updated. A number of Brothers have web
site guest books with email notification whenever someone signs the guest
book. Those Brothers sit on the front line of knowledge as to any new web
sites which may come about. As they check on new guest book entries, those
entries from Brothers having web site are reported to be checked against
those web sites already listed.
Use of common pages also have other advances. Collectively a common chat
room is more viable than every chapter having it's own chat room. Having
a common chat room gives Brothers a greater chance of finding someone on
line when he entered the chat room. A common Message board gives Brothers
a greater promotion upcoming chapter events and activities. In short divided
we fall together we stand, because a divided house can not stand against
itself.
AND
NOW FOR SOME MORE PLAGIARISM
It has been a long time coming, but we have finally arrived. We now
have a place where the world may hear our collective voices.
This website is our gift to one another. Where each of us may represent
who we are and what we stand for, both individually and as a group.
The love of OMEGA professed in these pages is not that of any one person,
however, it is a love bound by the ties we've established as each one of
us, no matter the location, no matter the occupation, no matter the social
status, reaches out for what we believe in. And it is this belief
that provides the fuel that lights the raging fire that burns deep within
our
souls. It is this
belief that provides the common denominator that when we present ourselves
to the world, all other labels are deleted. It is this
belief that makes me proud
to be an OMEGA MAN... |
