{ rosware }
Welcome to RoSware. This is a collection of software that I written myself for my own use - but I thought it might be useful to other people to. Please use what you want, but remember that standard disclaimers apply; no warranty is expressed or implied, use at your own risk, and copyright remains with me.
So you know, most of the software is command line based - windows interfaces take a while to make, and are excessive for these applications. The applications have been extensively beta field tested by Sheldon Woodhouse and Andre Elliott, and of course myself.

Click on the links to download the programs. Some of them are supplied in zip files. You should be able to find something on the web to unzip them - I recommend PKZip DOS Tools, or Winzip for Windows.
- Split50 v3.50
- Split50 is a program for splitting large files into chunks. By default it creates 1.44Mb chunks, but it can create any size chunk you like. It can also be used to join the files back together, and creates an index file to make this process easier. Can also split directly to floppy disks, or other drive of your choice.
Available in both 16-bit and 32-bit versions in the one archive, with instructions. Requires DOS, Windows 3.1 or Windows 95/NT.
Last updated 26th March 1998 - No changes to the software, but minor revisions to the documentation, including notice of a bug with the /S: switch.
- Sync v1.00 (11 August 1997)
- Sync is a program for synchronising the contents of two directories. What this means is that if two directories contain the same files, Sync will ensure that both directories have the most recent version of the file, and not any earlier ones. Also, Sync will add files that are present in one directory, but not in the other. By default, synchronisation operations are two way, but it can also be set to do one way operations. It can also be passed a 'sync-file', listing directory-pairs which should be synchronised.
Available in both 16-bit and 32-bit versions in the one archive, with instructions. Requires DOS, Windows 3.1 or Windows 95/NT.

- Microsoft Word Font List Macros
- Ever think you have too many fonts and you can't find the one you need? Then this is for you. It is a collection of Microsoft Word macros (i.e. Word BASIC), to print a list of all the fonts on your system, with a sample of each. Ignores different weights of the same family (e.g. only displays Arial, not Arial, Arial Bold, Arial Italic, ...). Can print the font name in appropriate style, or characters 33 to 128.
Requires Microsoft Word for Windows version 6.0a or above. (Tested with Word 6.0a and 7.0a) Can be made to work with Word 6.0 with some modification.

- SiteSucker 1.00
- SiteSucker is a tool for downloading web sites for offline viewing. The entire page is downloaded, with images, page structure and filenames intact. Options are available to prevent files on other sites or in other directories from being downloaded.
Requires a Java Virtual Machine environment to run. Developed with Sun's own JDK1.1.6. Seems to have problems with recent Java Runtime Environment
