{ the ship and the sea}

Foreword:
An ultra short one this, less a story, more of a descriptive passage. The idea came after talking jokingly with some friends about a pirate ship.
Story:
The Ship and The Sea

She leans forward as a strong gust of wind catches her from behind. Yes! Pushing forward through the waves, cutting a deep arc through the ocean's rough surface. Oh, how it feels, to have the air in one's face as a breeze fills the sails and pushes you onward.. Spray leaping up on all sides, nature's own elements pushing you on, driving with you, driving for you, faster, harder across the vast expanse of the waves, a desert not of static land but moving sea, barren except for you and the elements...

And as she cuts her path she knows now more than ever this is her moment, this is her destiny, to be here in this time and this place, in this act - she knows, more than ever, she is alive! The ship knows, more than ever... it is alive.
