I was born in the municipality of Los Banos, province of Laguna, Island of Luzon, Republic of the Philippines on January 23, 1952. I am the youngest out of seven (7) siblings. I was raised and educated in Los Banos. I finished my elementary schooling at the Maquiling Elementary School located in College, Laguna in 1964 and completed my high school at the Laguna Institute in 1969. I've finished my BS degrees in Agriculture (major in Statistics) from U.P. Los Banos in October 1973. Virtually self-supporting, I was able to complete my college work through student assistantships and scholarship provided by the Albino Z. Sycip Memorial Foundation and Grants in Aid study program. While in college, I became a member of the U.P. Grand Order of the Eagles, batch Love '71. Brod. Rene C. Espino was Lord Chancellor at the time when I became a member of said organization. In 1978, I took up Master of Arts in Economics at the School of Economics U.P. Diliman. I've completed the course work and passed the comprehensive examination but was not able to complete the thesis requirement. In 1979 I pursued M.S. Industrial Engineering. All course works were completed but the thesis requirement. Nevertheles, I was able to complete my Master of Public Adminisrtation degree from the College of Public Administration in U.P. Diliman in October, 1990. I have also completed my Diploma in Paralegal Studies (with high honors) from the State of Georgia, U.S.A. in 1994. |
