Well, once in a while, you come across something that really starts your mind going.  Winnie Lim's JQ page was one of the very first I came across, and the "Where Do You Start" series was one of the first I read.  I loved it-- after a bunch of fair action-oriented or heavy-HR ones, I finally found someone who was writing about these characters as _people_.

In any case, there's been a lot of years between the end of TRAJQ and the start of Winnie's series.  I wanted to know what happened in between that made these characters into the people they became.  Being too impatient to wait for Winnie to fill in the blanks, I did it myself.  Many thanks to Winnie Lim for letting me write these "Future Past" stories.
