Profile:  Following his return to active duty on Cybertron and subsequent relocation to prehistoric Earth, Grimlock joined the Maximal contingent in Africa.  After a fight to the finish left him near death, the Maximals used Transmetal 2 technology to recreate him.  More powerful than ever before, Grimlock is cold, merciless, and resents authority.  Thick-skinned and stubborn, he would rather die than concede a fight to the enemy.  He is often called to lead the charge into battle.

Abilities:  Fearsome and powerful, Grimlock is virtually unstoppable on the battlefield.  As a dinosaur, he is armed with heat-ray beams in his optic sensors, capable of liquefying a robot in minutes.  His serrated steel-alloy reinforced jaws can tear through solid rock.  In robot mode, he is outfitted with two shoulder-mounted, triple-barrel galaxial rocket launchers; they fire projectiles that can create craters nearly half a mile wide.  His tail converts to an energo whip capable of discharging over 100,000 volts of electricity.  In either form, his laser-equipped talons can cut through almost any known alloy.  As a Transmetal 2, Grimlock has limited influence over primitive animals, and has even been known to turn other Transformers' beast modes against them on prehistoric Earth.

Weaknesses:  Grimlock is still an immensely arrogant creature who is convinced of his own indestructibility.
