From
Trespass onwards - UNMISSABLE tracks
Not the first album, but early - 1970 - contains " The Knife "
Next in the list - 1971 - contains
" Return of the Giant Hogweed "
1972- Foxtrot - contains " Watcher
of the Skies & Supper's Ready "
1973
- Selling England contains - " I know what I like(in your wardrobe)"
A live album was produced in
'74, but you ain't missed much - some good piccies on the cover
though.....................
1974 - The Lamb - the definitive
Genesis and Gabriel's last !!!!!
At this point it felt as though
the world was ending - Peter Gabriel quits...............it was too much to bear!!!!!
Genesis began " Looking
for Someone ". After many auditions they came across a vocalist who was to become
arguably the biggest thing ever produced by the band....the Drummer Phil Collins ( had
sang on Selling England by the Pound ). Meanwhile...................... late one night
listening to Radio Luxembourg I was stunned to here what sounded like Genesis performing a
new song - it was thrilling - it was " Solisbury Hill " - the first solo
recording of Peter Gabriel - you really had to be there!! There were real possibilities
here - and Genesis............... it was two years to wait.......
