We need to look at where we can make faces run together, in an attempt to keep seams between pieces of texturing to a minimum. We cannot avoid seams altogether, but we can put them in places that are inconspicuous, like under the arms, top of the head and in places where the texturing can easily be matched ie. where the colour is uniform. We do this by working out which area's of our model can have texturing that wraps around. With our arm ideally the texturing will start from under the arm and wrap around the front, top, back and under the arm again. This way we'd have only one seam under one arm. Now we can work on the bottom of the arms. Collapse the stack and in Sub-Object Faces we'll get the previously selected faces. Again we go to the Edit menu and choose "Select Invert" to get: OK we end up with a lot of unnecessary faces selected, but it is easier to deselect most of these than to select the ones we want one at a time. Note: to deselect hold the Alt key down when you select.
