Malp Tips :-Generally, you want to work in an
L shape beginning furthest from where the blank tile will
end up. All of the tiles are numbered --left to
right--& top to bottom. To find the tiles number,
right click on that tile. If you get a screen with a .jpg
number-- that is the tile's number. If you get a
Mini-menu then click on properties (at the bottom of the
mini-menu). It will bring up the screen with the tile's
number. You need to do this on some of the malps to
tell,for example, which black square goes where.
Dialer Tips :- The dialer really
isn't a difficult game to master. All you really need is
a good memory and be able to memorise quickly. This game
is really great for point scoring especially after level
10 where you get bonus points for lvl 11- 21 points, lvl
12- 31 points etc. If you dont havee a good memory I do
have a fact that may help. When the dialer screen pops up
there is a menu bar above the game. If you move your
mouse over the menu bar and click and hold then the game
will freeze. You can do this as many times throughout the
game as you like, whenever you like. I'll let you work
out for yourself how this can be helpful. I can't put
everything on a silver platter. Be careful though. Make
sure that when you are clicking on the menu bar you don't
double click. This actually speeds the game up. Trust me,
you don't want that.
Iris Defence Help :- If your running this
game on a Pentium II or III and you think the game is
impossible your probably right. Iris defence was designed
for a Pentium and can run at double the speed on a
Pentium II. This means something that should be running
for 30 seconds, can finish in 15. There are a number of
ways around this. Some people suggest running a large
print job while you play the game, which will slow the
game down. I personally believe the best way to slow the
game down is to hold the print screen button down, while
you are playing the game. The print screen button is at
the top of your keyboard, normally next to the F12
button. Don't hold the print screen button down too long
though or the game will stop. It is best to press print
screen when you see a hot spot and let go once you've
clicked on it.
Glyph Recog Tips :- If you can't work
this game out then you've got a hell of a fight to the
top in front of you. This is one of the simplest games in
the training area where you just have to match tiles. The
best way to approach this is with a plan of attack. I
always start the game by clicking on the corners and
working my way in. Try to avoid clicking on the same tile
a few times after revealing it once or you will run out
of time quickly. If you find you are moving too slowly
click on the browser back button and start again by
clicking on the glyph icon.
Glider Help :- This game is again
much too fast on a Pentium II or III processor. The best
way to handle the game is using the print screen button
trick as in the Iris tips. Like in the iris game the
print screen button can stop the game completely so let
go of the button after you have shot each glider. If you
are wondering how to know when you have shot a glider you
will see a flash on the cockpit showing a hit and you
will hear a gunshot. It also helps if you know the
pattern of the gliders. They come in two waves, one of 4
gliders and one of 3. When you begin the game four
gliders will come at you one at a time from left to
right. When the far right glider has left the screen the
pattern will go back to the far left of the screen. One
glider will come at you from the far left, then another,
then 2 more gliders from left to right. Then 4 gliders
will attack from left to right and so on. If you watch
carefully soon you will learn the pattern and you will
know exactly where the gliders will come from next.
