TEAM KNIGHT RIDER FAQ
What is Team Knight Rider(also known as TKR)?
Team Knight Rider was an attempt to revitalize the Knight Rider franchise by establishing several new vehicles that could talk and think just like K.I.T.T could in the original series. Airing during the 1997-1998 season in syndication, it failed to establish ratings and was cancelled in April of 1998. The last episode presents an interesting cliff hanger that will never be resolved. Universal even put up an official website to promote the series during its run.

Why was Team Knight Rider formed?
Team Knight Rider was formed because one man had too much power(aka Michael Knight). It was felt that five people could get the job done better then just one.
Who is Jim Marland?
Jim Marland replaced Devon Miles (Edward Mulhare) after he passed away. Marland is responsable for making K.R.O. (Knight Reformulation One) the evil car he is. After he realizes his mistake, he has K.R.O. shut down (after killing six people) and Marland leaves the Foundation and gives command over to Kyle Stewart. When Kyle conducted research about why Marland left, the incident was not in Marland's file in the TKR mainframe.
Why do all the vehicles have weakness except K.R.O.?
The TKR vehicles all have weakness, unlike KRO, the prototype vehicle who had none. This was to prevent a vehicle from gaining full control and killing innocent people. Martin Jenson, driver of KRO was supposed to replace Mike and KITT.
Who is Steven Butler?
Steven Butler is Jenny's former commanding officer and mentor during her latter years in the Marine Corps. After constant pressure from Jenny, TKR looked into his kidnapping by a militia group called Fallen Nation from which he later escaped. They continued looking into the situation as the group disabled a power relay station, causing a state wide blackout, and discovered that one of this men was involved. Jenny went to inform him of this news, though Kyle suspected that he was involved, and found out that he was behind the militia group, and planned to take over the US government after launching a nuclear strike on Washington D.C. Jenny took him in at the end and is presumablely in prison for life.
Who is Claten?
Claten is the eccentric chief chef. He has a zen for exotic foods which are usually to exotic for the TKR team and is usually limited to simpler meals when Kyle is around since he'd rather have a plain old hamburger. Claten tends to get a little obsessed with his food no matter what's going on, like on SkyOne.
Who is Lt. Mark Davis?
Lt. Davis was one of General Butler's top men and was involved in his attempt to overthrow the government and take control. He was found to be involved in the sabotage that resulted in a large, state wide, blackout. He was brought in for questioning and eventually told TKR the entire plan, including the fact that the General was behind it.
Who is Dennis?
Dennis is the Chief Mechanic on SkyOne. None of the vehicles liked the way he treated them or his workmanship. His position at TKR was abruptly terminated during the Et Tu Dante mission when he gave Jenny a CD containing a powerful computer virus which she passed on to Domino when she played it. It ended up causing Domino and the cars Domino linked up with to go out of control. When the team discovered that the CD was the source of the virus, they found out the cousin he got it from didn't exist and confronted him. He revealed that he didn't know the identity of Mobius who he was working for and that he did it because he felt unappreciated by the team. Though Jenny felt somewhat sorry for him, Kyle had no choice but to turn him over to the authorities.
Who is Adam Galbreath?
Adam Galbreath, one of the richest men the world who is obsessed with becoming the richest. He ran into TKR when he masterminded the infiltration and theft from a US treasury printing press. His plan was to dump massive amounts of american currency into the economy, thereby making his foreign assets worth considerably more after inflation. He seemed quite interested in Erica, until discovering she was working undercover in his team for TKR.
Who is Martin Jentzen?
Hand picked to be the replacement for Michael Knight by James Marland, he later proved to have a unstable personality and was pushed over the edge by his driver\car relationship with KRO who also became unstable. Jantzen was put in the White Sands Detention Facility after the two of them managed to kill several technicians. He was later rescued by KRO and was last seen being buried with KRO in a vat of molten metal.
What was K.R.O.(Knight Reformulation One)?
K.R.O., short for Knight Reformation One, was designed to be a replacement for FLAG's highly successful revised prototype super car, KITT. FLAG's engineers put all of the years of experience and technological advances they'd developed while KITT was in service and put it into the shell of a Ferrari. KRO was suppose to spearhead the Foundation's efforts into a new decade. Unfortunately FLAG apparently didn't take as much care selecting KRO's driver, Martin Jantzen, as they did building KRO. He proved to be to unstable and was pushed over the edge by his car\driver relationship with KRO which also warped KRO's personality. KRO became extremely dangerous, resulting in the deaths of several technicians before he was shut down. He was later reactivated during the KRO mission and had to be hunted down by TKR in much the same way FLAG's first prototype, KARR, was. He was eventually destroyed and his driver killed, when he was buried in molten metal. Along with his long list of capabilities, KRO's scanners were specially configured to search for weaknesses in his targets, and exploit them. This proved to be a problem for TKR since FLAG had decided to incorporate special weak spots into their vehicles after the incident with KRO so they could be stopped easier if they went out of control.

What were K.R.O.(Knight Reformulation One) special features?
Capabilities:
Grappling Hook
Infar-Scan
Internal Data Drive (CD-ROM drive)
Intruder security system
Ceiling Laser
Steering wheel shock
Wrist restraints
Microwave Laser Beam

Who is Edward Lender?
The team meet Edward Lender, better known as "The Raven" a well known hit man, when he kidnapped Jenny in order to force Duke and Beast to help in his plans. His objective, according to him, was to kill his old teacher and mentor, Professor Webb who tricked him into killing his brother. Thanks to Duke, he didn't succeed and disappeared immediately afterwards. He apparently has no living relatives after the death of this brother.
Who is Maddics?
FBI section chief for a time. He was involved in the theft, and illegal smuggling of arms. Since he was also in charge of the investigation of these activities, he was able to go uncaught for months. His plans started to unravel when TKR was brought on the case after he stole a new stealth helicopter. Suspecting that TKR would investigate, even after quickly taking them off the case, he set them up, making them think they accidentally killed a civilian while they were trying to recover the helicopter. Kyle was suspended and Maddics arranged for a FBI operative who he knew would keep TKR off the track to take his place. Unfortunately for him, he turned out to be wrong.
Who is Mobius?
A strange masked figure that has shown up in two TKR episodes, he refers to himself at Mobius. His first appearance was at the end of The A List where he was watching Trek and Kyle at the end of their mission over a small monitor connected to a hidden camera. Kyle was saying how he felt there was someone else behind the brainwashing and the writers would seem to he suggesting that Mobius was that man. He seemed to be breathing off a ventilator, which along with his withered hand, was all that could be seen of him. He was seen again in the episode The Iron Maiden where he was the benefactor, lover, and mastermind for a spoiled would be artist who high jacked three battle suits. He then had her steal and transmit the plans for a special neural spy chip to him, which is what he needs for this plans, before being captured. During the episode she communicated with him though a terminal, and also over a implanted communicator built in under her fingernail. She, along with possibly Roy Bolman and Dr. Matleonsky from The A List mission are the only people known that might known his identity. He made his third and biggest appearance in Et Tu Dante, not only making his existence known to the team but forcing them to race around Washington D.C. to stop his bombing attempts of several Washington landmarks to get them back for foiling several of this plans. During this episode, Kyle mentioned several cases he though had a mysterious mastermind including the Panama Canal Incident, the Divenchi Heist, and the Thorendorp Bridge. Mobius seems to specialize in mind control, which he's exhibited in several episodes, and other related topics. While there is no actual evidence that he has some connection to TKR since they got involved with his plans on their own, the general option is that he's someone from Flag's past.

Who is Shadow?
Name for the mysterious man that helped Kyle clear his name during the Choctaw L-9 mission. He somehow managed to keep from being detected by Dante's sensors when he entered Dante's back cabin and hinted to Kyle that he should take a closer look at the man Kyle supposedly killed. Not only didn't he register on any of Dante's external sensors, but he couldn't be heard by Dante as well, confusing Dante to no end when Kyle seemed to be talking to nobody. All Kyle saw of him was a silhouette, then and in the distance later at the end of the mission. He also appeared in Angels in Chains, showing up in Erica's room and giving her the route the prison bus carrying Jenny would take before disappearing out the doorway. It was later revealed that he was a holographic projection produced by the CPU KITT who had been removed from his car body at some point and hidden inside the situation room conference table on SkyOne. At the end of Legion of Doom, his hiding place was discovered by Mobius and he was taken, leaving his fate up in the air due to the cancellation of the series.
Who is Liz Starwicks?
A want to be artist who was expelled from the Rhode Island school of Design for rigging a kiln to explode after loosing a art contest. The team meet her during "The Iron Maiden" mission when she was discovered to be involved with the theft of three high tech armored battle suits. Her efforts were actually being lead by the mysterious Mobius who was apparently her benefactor, boss, and possibly her lover. She was later captured and put in prison though she can still keep in contact with Mobius though a comm. link under her fingernail.
Who is Adam Toma?
A certified genius as well as maniac, he's a hard core environmentalist with a phobia about germs. During the seventies he was involved with trying to create a cure for the Tanis Root virus. During The Bad Seed episode, when the virus was stolen, the team went to the tropical island he was living on to recruit his help in creating a cure. Little did they know that he was responsible for its theft, planning on releasing it into the general population and killing off the human race except for the group of beautiful women he had invited to his island.
Who is Phillip Webb?
A well known philanthropist, Webb was apparently the target of the assassin Edward Lender, better known as "The Raven", who kidnapped Jenny in order to force Duke to help him get in close to his residence. According to Lender, Phillip Webb is actually Professor Webb, known for teaching several well known assassins. He claimed that he was one of Webb's pupils and was tricked into unknowingly killing his brother when Webb sent him on an assignment. Duke found the idea hard to believe at first but after Lender pointed out the heavy security around Webb's residence and after Duke talked with Webb latter, he seemed to believe what Lender said. Unfortunately there was no hard evidence that what Lender said was true, so his identity as Professor Webb can't be confirmed at this time.
Who is Captain J.P. Wyatt?
Skyone's main pilot as of the SkyOne mission. He seems to be a something of a lady chaser, Erica having to hold him off quite forcefully when she was trying to learn the basics of how to fly SkyOne. He also seems to know Kyle from his time in the CIA or at least knows a lot about one of Kyle's missions concerning Russians on a island near Cuba.
Is it true the David Hasselhoff was supposed to make an appearence?
Rick Koff answers that question in an article that appears on the teamknightrider.com site. Click here for the link.
How many episodes of TKR are there?

Was Legion of Doom supposed to be a cliffhanger?
