Ste-Chapelle. A small cathedral built by Louis IX for housing a piece of the cross and Christ's crown of thorns. The lower chapel is low ceilinged, but very ornate.
Louis worshipped in the upper chapel, with these soaring stained glass windows - the oldest in Paris, In most cathedrals the stained glass windows are stories above your head, but Ste-Chapelle's start just a few feet above your head and just keep going up, bringing gasps of surprise from everyone entering the upper chapel.
