That's where the high power rocketry is aimed.   Until then I'm still a spectator.   But one day...!   In the meantime, here's some of the real stuff.

Kennedy Space Center & STS-95
October 1998

I took my vacation the last week of October to see the STS-95 launch - the "John Glenn flight" as everyone called it.   I thought the STS-88 flight would be more historic, putting up the first U.S. segment of the International Space Station.   But I didn't know if the Russian module would launch as scheduled.   It was a better bet that Discovery and STS-95 would launch on time.

I had no idea of the kind of media frenzy I was going to see.   It was the biggest thing to happen at the Kennedy Space Center since the very first shuttle launch!   All thanks to John Glenn.

It was my first trip to KSC and as a true blue space freak I went on the tour four times during the week!   Here are some of my photos.
