The Union of Planetary Republics:
.
You decide to stay on this level.  After walking through what must be a giant machine shop, you eventually find your way out into the corridors of the Farragut.  They have the same bright clean interior as the Starfalcon, except that the panels on the walls look different.  And the corridors reach way off into the distance, to the point that you can't see all the way to one end or the other.  Again, you are reminded of the giant size of the Farragut, and how many people she is carrying.

And all those people will become slaves to the space pirates, including you, if you don't help stop Lothair.  An opportunity to help stop the pirates just happens to drop right into your lap.

A Spacer approaches you, and asks you a question:

"We have found one of the bombs Lothair put on this ship.  Do you know anything about electronics?"

"I took a class in electronics last year," you say.

"Can you try to defuse the bomb?"

"I might be able to help," you say, as you try to remember Professor Stucci's lectures on electronics.

The Spacer leads you to one of the rooms in the ship, where a window lets you see out into space.  Actually, the ship is in hyperspace, because you can see the elongated stars move past the ship.

"So, what do you know about this bomb?"  you ask, hoping that they know why it was planted in a room that seems to be empty of anything but small cargo crates and people.
