This is the place where I tell you all of the passwords and cheat codes to Simtower. However if you have been playing the game for a while you have probably noticed that it is very hard to figure them out, well there is a reason for that, there aren't many. In fact there are only two actual codes

Codes

Here are the codes

When you first start a tower, before you build anything, go to the very bottom left part of the building area and but in a piece of lobby. This will double your starting money.

When you go to put down your first piece of lobby hit ctrl or ctrl+shift while you are building the first piece of lobby and you will have a two or three story lobby

Perhaps the most famous yet least known code is the debug code. It can only be used in dos mode or in dos (depending on your o/s) to start the debug process go to your simtower directory, type debug tower.tdt (replace the tower.tdt with the name of the tower that you want to debug).

To alter your things type: e 100 00 24 0? 00 85 FF FF 00 the ? is the number of stars that you want 1 is a 1 star and 2 is a 2 star and so on and if you want a tower enter 6 this will also give you a whole lot of money

if you have windows 95 or 98 you can also use another way start out the same.

To alter just the star level and not the money type: e 102 ? once again the ? is the star level

To alter just the money type: e 106 ff

After this type w [enter] to write the changes

Then type q [enter] to leave

I have been told that you can type nbar to put in a strip club on floor 69 but I havent verified this or gotten detailed instructions on how to do this. If you know more please e-mail me.

Programs

Here are the other ways to cheat all of which are "third party cheat programs" that you run and they change the programming of the tower to change the money amount or the star level.

Towerhex.exe This program is run while a tower is not open and it lets you edit your star and money amounts.

Twrcheat.exe This program is run while a is open and it adds an events menu to the menu bar that includes finding treasure, a terrorist bombing, and a fire.

Towercht.exe This is very similar to towerhex.exe but is used slightly differently.

The magic eraser This lets you delete almost any type of structure on a selected set of floors.

The rent wizard This lets you change the rent for all of the structures of any one type throughout the whole entire tower including condos.

Tips

For those of you who don't like to use cheat programs or codes here are some pointers on how to build a good tower.

To maximize your population, use mostly offices with some condos dispersed throughout.

Don't put multiple types of structures on one floor without the width of two condos in between them this width can however be taken up by things such as housekeeping or medical or security.

You can mix and match things from the same drop down menu such as fast food and restaurants, or single rooms and hotel suites.

If you are almost out of money but can afford to put in a condo do it. It will sell almost immediately and you will make back the money and then some and continue to fill this floor with condos.
