About
BudNekkid:
Born in Malaysia, I've been a First-Person Shooter freak since the
days of Wolfenstein3D. Since then, I was only beginning to grasp Quake
2 when Shogo:MAD came out (we're quite slow to pick up trends over here,
unlike the States.). Anyway, Shogo is in and Quake's history (not really,
I still play it occasionally 8) ). I'm also an Anime otaku (fanboy), so
you can very well tell why Shogo appeals to me.
This Site:
This site was opened to promote Shogo DM on the Net as well as provide
a place for people to download user-made maps/levels. And since up to the
time when this site was opened, there have been no other map review/download
sites, I just thought I'd start one to help promote Shogo DM!
Shogo:MAD:
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division is the first First-Person Shooter to use
Monolith's own in-house built 3D engine, LithTech. Shogo is also the first
FPS to base itself heavily on Anime, or Japanese Animation. From the characters,
to the dialogues, to the giant robot Mechas, one can easily tell where
its roots lie. As for the action itself, it is all that an FPS should be,
and more. The compelling Single Player story-line, its awesome Multiplayer
DeathMatch (much improved after the Point Releases 8) ), and great overall
balanced arsenal of weapons, all but makes this one of the best games of
1998. If you want to know more about Shogo:MAD, go to links
page.
