Dune the PC-RPG is an old RPG based on the Movie Dune. The movie Dune is based upon Frank Herbert's books about the same world. In the game you play the role of Paul Atreides- The house Atreides hair. He and his mother and father have just arrived to Dune in order to start producing spice Melange. But on the planet, and almost in total control of it, another house already has begun producing. The worst thing is that this house is the Atreides long sworn enemy - the house Harkonnen. These evil humanoids have superior weapons and armies, including large fortresses. The game starts in the house Atreides new palace, an old Harkonnen one. As Duke Letho Atreides son you get to do all the work, including investigate the unrevealed rooms in the palace. After you've gotten in contact with the first Fremen Troopson Dune, you can begin rally small and uneducated armies to you. But there are a lot of problems... For instance: The Emperor of the Empire (in which the houses are part of) always wants a certain amount of spice. That means that you will have to produce enough spice for both you and the "taxes" to the emperor. And doing so will get you introduced to The Worms... |
