Sandworms are gigantic worms that live under the surface of Dune. They swim in the sand like watersnakes can swim in the water. They are a large problem fore the players when they try to build their dynasty. The snakes are drawn to heave vibrations like those who come from harvesters... In the PC-RPG of Dune you can ride the worms. You call them trough some telepathic power and than they come. It is a very fast and safe (!) way of transportation. If you know what to do� Therefor, it is a big risk to call upon a maker - as the Fremen calls them. Just the thought of riding them should give anyone the creeps. |
