Son of Oberon, prince of Amber.

The villain of the story, the prince who went beyond desiring the crown.  Brand had always been quick to take offense as well as causing them, yet there's a likeable nature in him.  He's an artist, and probably take after Dworkin.

No one got close to knowing him.  He spent his time painting or learning secrets from Dworkin.

Brand lusted for power and looked beyond Amber magic.  He with Fiona and Bleys teamed up to replace Oberon.

Prior to Corwin's recovery, Brand had a vision in Tir-Nirgoth that Corwin would be the downfall to their plans.  So he began searching for him, and when he finally found him on Earth, he shot out Corwin's tires, causing the injury that Corwin started with in the story.

Brand's plan was mad, but he wasn't without his senses.  He sought after the Jewel of Judgement to destroy the Universe and recreate it in his fashion.  He was killed by Caine in the end, pulling Deirdre along with him into the Abyss.
