Son of Oberon and Faiella, prince of Amber.

An aloof guy, Caine loved the sea.  He was known to be closest to Julian.

He sided with Eric and opposed Corwin in his naval attack on Amber.  He won, only because he had more numbers.  The blinding of Corwin's eyes was his idea, not out of malice, but to keep him alive to answer to his father - Oberon.  He seemed to be one to have the interests of Amber first before other matters.

He faked his death upon Corwin's return to the Castle.  The distrust does not blind him to Brand's motives.  He stabbed Brand and later killed him before the Abyss.
