Corwin's elder and strong contender to the crown.
Both brothers hated each other. Yet, they have the same tastes.
Eric has always been the better fighter of the two.
In a duel, Eric defeated Corwin
and left him for dead. However, he did not move to take the crown
even when Oberon went missing. However, he had the
support of Caine and Julian.
His part in the story begins when Corwin
trumped into Amber. Corwin
managed to catch Eric offguard and won a small victory.
Eric employed the Jewel of Judgement to great
effectiveness when Corwin and Bleys led a ground
assault in [ Nine Princes in Amber ].
Corwin was captured and later blinded at the suggestion
of Julian.
Eric crowned himself but was soon plauged with problems.
Monsters out of Shadows threatened the security of
Amber. When Corwin escaped, he tried
to make peace with him.
He died in in defence of Amber but not before he instructed
Corwin in the use of the Jewel of Judgement.
