First officer of the Enterprise and the ship's science officer,
who starts out as Lt. Commander in the show's first season and is
Captain Spock by the second Trek film, later becoming an ambassdor
in TNG. He is played by Leonard Nimoy. Spock is half-Vulcan, half
human, and was raised by his parents, Amanda Grayson and Sarek, on
Vulcan. He had a pet sehlat name I'Chaya when he was a child.
His service record, as quted from Classic episode "Court-Martial,"
reads: "Serial no.: S179 276 SP; rank: Commander; commendations:
Vulcan Scientific Legion of Honor, Award of Valor, and twice decorated
by Starfleet Command." He has adopted his Vulcan heritage but finds
it often difficult to come to terms with his human half. He is reserved,
claims he has no emotions, and is a vegetarian. In Classic episode,
"The Cage," he was only a lieutenant when he served under Pike. Spock
has an A-7 computer rating, meaning he has very strong computer

performing other, non-related tasks, and is a genius at maths, science
and computer programming. He also appears interested in literature,
and quotes often from literary works by humans. He plays the Vulcan
