Plot

The Enterprise comes to the rescue of a Talarian ship only to find a human child aboard. The child, Jono, turns out to be the last remaining survivor from a colony presumed destroyed by the Talarians. Picard must decide whether to return the boy to his Talarian father who raised him and is suspected of abusing him or to his natural grandmother, an admiral in Starfleet. Meanwhile, Troi and Crusher pushes Picard to force the boy into learning about human culture, but slowly Picard realises that the boy does not want that life.

Goofs

  • When Jeramiah (?) sits down in 10 forward to have a banana split, he is on Wesley's left. Then when Wesley get hit by the ice cream, it comes from Wesley's right.
  • Near the end when Picard brings Jeramiah (?) onto the bridge, we don't hear the sound effect of the turbolift doors opening.

Quotes

Troi: "This is a banana split...and it's quite possibly one of the greatest things in the universe."
