Background: His father was a minister of Prince Innocenti di Malapietra (he took care of the Arena of Lizzieni) and died with the rest of the family when the meteor struck. Gianbattista was saved only because he was just sent to Glantri to his uncle Bernardo Saverio degli Olivieri to start his education. The uncle took care of the young, Gianbattista was only 13, and educated him with literature, history,
philosophy and similars. Bernardo Saverio was an idealist, he thought to become a very famous writer but he failed and died in misery last year. This event shocked Gianbattista who realized he needs the protection of someone to getting ahead. Soon after he encountered Lord Windsor...
Timeline:
991 was born from Oliviero degli Olivieri e Layretta Benedetta Aldobrandina
999 Began his studies under his father's secretary
1005 was sent in Glantri city from his uncle
1009 published his first work "Nocturnal Elegies", a rather ugly and manieristic collection of poems about a young female neighbour
1010 his uncle died. He met Lord Windsor
Player's Notes: Tries always to dress in a fashionable way, usually in either blue, black or red robes. Always has a smile on his face, sometimes with good intentions, sometimes because he had found a way to gain more favours or because has found the manner to ruin an enemy... He knows he hasn't an immortal poet but these are his skills so he must follow this way.
Gianbattista is the first name, I took it from an italian poet Gianbattista Marino(1569-1625) who had a very adventurous life, Oliviero is the second, the first name of his father and grandfather, degli Olivieri is the surname, in middle ages surnames started getting developed and were added to names for a lot of reasons and in this matter because Gianbattista family's was full of people named Oliviero, so it was the family of the Olivieros, in italian Olivieri
DM's notes: Hopefully he can be persuaded to join the party, he could be a veritable fountain of Glantrian history since Sebastien doesn't know much. He would also be a great translator. I've found that scribes don't have many money problems, so even though he doesn't have much now, that shouldn't be a problem for long. The personality that Marco has laid out sounds like it could make for some very interesting character interactions.
