Music for Mosh Pits
Ahhhh... It's time to relax, and you know what that means: a glass of wine,
your favourite easy chair and of course, this WEB PAGE playing on your PERSONAL COMPUTER.
So go on and indulge yourself, that's right! Kick off your shoes, put your feet up. Lean back
and just enjoy the melodies. After all, music soothes even the savage beast...
Offspring has been making music for quite a while, now and have come up with several albums.
Their earliest one is called Offspring-- I give it three and stars out of five . Their next
album is Ignition and I give it four out of five stars. After that,
they went on to Smash, containing the hit "Come out and Play" (it should be
playing if you have Explorer) and later on, they made Ixnay on the Hombre.
Both of these albums deserve a four and , or at least .
Just out this year, Americana has come out. It has several great songs on it such as "Pretty Fly",
a remix of "Feelings" by the Offspring and lots more funny ones like "Get a Job", "Americana", ect.
Their two most recent albums, Ixnay and Americana have more of a festive style; some songs
sound like they're part mexican. In my opinion, this trend is VERY, VERY, cool.
Green Day, the Trio of Billie Joe, Tr Cool and Mike Drint, have been playing since 1990, I believe, and have
five albums. Their first two, "Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" and "Kerplunk" are ok, but the 3 newest ones, "Dookie",
"Insomniac" and "Nimrod" are a lot better. Dookie has several good songs, like "Long View", "Basket Case", "When
I Come Around" and their secret song, at the end of
their album. "Insomniac" is fine, but the whole album only lasts about 30 minutes, wich is kinda short. "Nimrod"
is probably their best-seller; the album has the hit song "Good Riddance (Time of your life)".
Up here in Canada, Much Music is the most watched TV station for people 20 and under. They play all the popular music
like Green Day, Offspring, Our Lady Peace, Smashing Pumpkins and a whole lotta other stuff. Watching Much TV is having a life. (Well, part of it, anyways)
