Slide up to a certain note e.g.

In this case you would put your finger on the 6th fret pluck the string then slide your
finger to the 7th fret then to complete the note.
A --3/5----
In this case you would put your finger on the 3th fret pluck the string then slide your
finger to the 5th fret and and then pluck the string again to complete the note.

In this case you would put your finger on the 5th fret of the low E string then pluck it. You would then bend the
string up or pull it down. |

Hammer on a certain note. e.g.
A---7---7---5h7---5h7
E-0---0---0-----0----
In this case you would put your finger on the 5th fret of the second string A and pluck
it. You would then use a different finger and slam it down on the 7th fret. Allot of songs use this so it would
be good to master it.

Pull-off a certain note to sound another. e.g

as you can see in this case it has a combination of hammer-on and pull-off. How you play
this is place one finger(I use my middle finger) on the 7th fret then strike it use a different finger(I use my
ring finger) to slam on the 8th fret then pick it right back up again

Play a muted note. To do this put your and/palm on the string and then pluck it. It will
make a percussion sound. e.g.
A--X-X---
E--X-X---
For this put your palm on the two strings while you pluck them. The harder you press the
more percussive it will sound. For an intense percussion sound put your right palm heavily on the strings by the
bridge and then put your left fingers across the strings on the next and then pluck the strings.

Vibrate a certain note. There is many ways to this. There is the typical B.B. King Stinger
method then there is the string wiggle. e.g.
A--2----/7------------
E--0-------6--5^^^^---0
For the Stinger method in this case put your finger on the 5th fret and then wiggle your
finger back and forth rapidly. The other option is the string wiggle. That is when you put your finger on the 5th
fret and then smoothly bend the string up and down repeatedly. This is a hard thing to master but once you do it's
incredible! Allot of songs use this so play around and and use the technique that you are most confortable with.
